Well, I fell out of my chair this morning.

Landlord's agent advised me aof the increase in rent from June onwards.

They want $1350 per week ... an increase of $530 per week!!

coming out of trading suspension can't come any quicker ...
Holy shit. Is that market rate now for your area or are you getting stung bad?

I've just moved from Sydney.. it was cheaper for me to get a mortgage two streets from the beach where I am now than rent an apartment in the inner west. Sorry to hear @Thaz That's got to be really stressful.

Can I ask where you got this from???
Not nearmaps?
SkyFi. You can order a current pic to be taken of a region, but the resolution is not he same as on google maps. Basically Skyfi pics are from a satellite, google maps are taken from a plane. I just posted it in case others were thinking of shelling out for a current picture.

Yep - market rate for the area we're in, in Syd

We'd be crazy to renew .. haha.

I just can't help but laugh it's that crazy.

Our family is in Syd - so it's abit tough to move (esp with the young one). We have a few options, luckily enough, which aren't as ideal. But compromise is a part of life. I feel for those who do not have as many options available for them.

Yep - sydney-sider.

Property market here is COOOKED.

Although - commentary is that prices are expected to fall in October.. with 2 more rate rises and most fixed-rates coming off in October... people will be hurting.

This is what i've heard when talking with those in the industry - so don't quote me on that. But it'll be interesting times ahead if that's the case.

AVZ Minerals Announces New Positive Hard Rock Results and Drilling Program

AVZ Minerals Limited announces that it has received further excellent results from its drilling program from its mineral resources at the Manono lithium and tin project (Manono Project) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

“Despite recent blockages at the Perth assay facility due to unprecedented demand for lithium assays, our third batch of 4 drill holes was able to be assayed,” said AVZ Managing Director, Nigel Ferguson.

The third package of 4 hard rock drill holes continues to demonstrate strong grade continuity, both along strike and downstream of the current open pit design.

48 holes are now complete and 33 holes have been sampled and sent to the Perth lab.

In addition, 8 holes were geotechnically logged and selected cores were sent for specialized laboratory testing.

Well it will be interesting to see how the proposed Super Tax increase will impact on the Rental Market. If Labour is going to play with Taxes then some investors may decide to liquidate their Rental Properties into something that is easier to convert into cash. Hmmm we will wait and see.

I'd check your lease agreement.

They can't just up the rent 40 or 50% per week
Our rent went up 4% which was pretty much the Max that they could.

If you zoom in you can see the Nigel’s desk, upon this desk is a newspaper, if you squint a bit you can make out the date.
If that doesn’t work you can use google earth, it has a date slider and the vehicle positions in your image correlate with the October 2022 image.

When the news is unusually quiet, it can often indicate that something significant is happening behind the scenes. Expect the unexpected 😉😉😉

I think it depends if they're CHESS, or broker sponsored (like most of the cheap platforms like IG).
If you're switching from 1 bank platform to another then should be ok. The shares aren't actually held by the trading platform in this instance, they're held by you via Computershare or similar. The bank's trading platform is just a front-end.
