( Sean has mentioned streaming & video conference technology)
Attendees will also be able to see Atlas NV-CMM (Non-Volatile CXL Memory Module) showing low-latency persistent memory performance.
Unigen will present a range of high-performance computing solutions at booth 764, including DDR5 Memory Modules, NVDIMMs, and high-capacity SSDs, highlighting their capabilities in handling multiple live video streams and low-latency memory performance.
The company specializes in OEM products and electronics manufacturing services, serving various industries such as automotive, medical, and IoT.
Unigen recently expanded AI production with a new Malaysian manufacturing hub.
Strange that we disappeared out of their web pages if we were ever there? The public face of Renesas to us BRN shareholders, Sailesh Chittipeddi, has decided to leave the company at the end of the year.
It will be interesting for us to keep an eye on his future endeavours, given he will take his familiarity with BrainChip’s technology along…

Unfortunately, though, his exit adds to the mystery surrounding the whereabouts of the Renesas chip using our IP that was supposed to be taped out in December 2022:
Renesas is taping out a chip using the spiking neural network (SNN) technology developed by Brainchip.
Learn more about the collaboration between BrainChip and Renesas as they tap out a chip using the Spiking Neural Network (SNN) technology.brainchip.com
I bet we would have found out through likes on LinkedIn by BrainChip employees if that chip had ever been announced in public as having become commercially available, even if Renesas had decided not to mention our company as an IP vendor (since they bought the licence, they are not obliged to, as far as I understand).
While the Renesas logo remains on the BrainChip website under “YOU’RE IN GOOD COMPANY”, there is no trace of us to be found on their own website except for an old question by @chapman89 in a Renesas support forum (weirdly it says 23 Feb 2022 in the search results, but then ‘over three years ago’ when you click on it?).
So if there ever was a Renesas press release on their own website regarding the December 2020 signing of the IP licence with BrainChip, this announcement appears to have since been deleted. I suppose they are not obliged to inform BrainChip about whatever they do or don’t do with the licensed IP, so we may never find out more details from our company’s side in case that chip design eventually got shelved.
It seems very odd, though, that Renesas would sign a non-exclusive IP license (so the reason can’t have been to just prevent competitors from signing their own licenses with us) and then not commercialise it…

Come with us and explore the future of technology!
Mercedes-Benz and the University of Waterloo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on research led by Prof. Chris Eliasmith in the field of neuromorphic computing.
The focus is on the development of algorithms for advanced driving assistance systems.
By mimicking the functionality of the human brain, neuromorphic computing could significantly improve AI computation, making it faster and more energy efficient.
While preserving vehicle range, safety systems could, for example, detect traffic signs, lanes and objects much better and react faster, even in poor visibility.
The work with the University of Waterloo complements a series of our existing research collaborations on neuromorphic computing.
To realise the full potential of neuromorphic computing, we are building up a network of universities and research partnerships.
