How admirable of August. like someone on X commented under, that he hides behind Trumps strength after being so critical of him for so long. Unfortunately this is one of those rare L's of August because he is clearly wrong. At the moment Nigel holds all of the cards & 75% legal title plus FROR for 15% more and the US might not publicly show they are desperate, but their executive orders and other bills (actions) speak louder than their words. There's no denying the US involvement is a net positive for all involved, but to say they "hold all the cards" is completely untrue.

In saying that, they can buy the entire deck for $12 USD and then they will hold all of the cards 🃏
It is actually very simple, how does the USA squeal like a pig, after offering too low, and ZIJIN offers UD$30billion plus security?
They would love to develop both sides without interference and have made a start!

I would say trump uses the escape nozzles on his new toy plane on the way back, to correct the deal of the fucking century.

Bezos-backed $US20,000 electric ute attracts more than 100,000 reservations

New electric vehicle (EV) startup Slate Auto, which is backed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, says it has already secured over 100,000 refundable reservations in the two weeks since it emerged from stealth mode with a $US20,000 electric ute.

Slate – note the name is an anagram of Tesla – in late April unveiled the Slate Truck, a highly configurable and customisable two-seat ute/pickup boasting a 52.7kWh battery pack with a target range of 240 kilometres (EPA).

An accessory 84.3kWh battery pack is also mentioned, which would have a target range of 385 kilometres (EPA), and of course have a higher price. Charging for the batteries using the NACS port is supposed to race to 80 per cent at 120kW in under 30 minutes.

The base price is after US incentives, and without them is priced at around $US27,000 ($A43,000).

The significance is that it promises the US-made $US25,000 EV that Tesla’s Elon Musk has promised but not yet delivered.

The base price is for a no-frills version with wind up windows, no speakers, cloth seats, no digital screens, and knobs for controls.

Upgrading these will add to the price, but it does include a relatively large “frunk” (front trunk), cargo area, and 1,400lb payload accompanies max towing of 1,000lb.

“We are truly humbled by America’s response to Slate’s brand launch and the launch of our truck,” Slate’s chief commercial officer Jeremy Snyder said in a statement to TechCrunch.

“We are excited for what the future holds.”

In addition to Jeff Bezos, Slate has reportedly secured financial support from Mark Walter, CEO of Guggenheim Partners and controlling owner of the LA Dodgers.

STFU. Trump is the sole reason we might come out of this alive. You forget that Zelensky and Tshisekedi approached Trump for security.
what disrespect given to Nigel and the board who have fought tooth and nail for this company. I can tell you right now Nigel has been given absolute hell from detractors and 'allegedly' some dodgy snack money might have been flaunted which has NEVER or EVER will be a consideration.

Trump isn't the sole reason. Far from it.

Looks like Jens, Maja & August are playing tag team low ball on AVZ SH's expectations

"$AVZ The US is not desperate for anything in this world. And as our new President is making clear, we will walk away from deals that does not advance our national interests or those of our allies. We hold all the cards."

August needs to examine his own post.

"The US is not desperate for anything is this world...."

They will be, if they don't find alternative sources of rare earths and Lithium than getting it from China, which is why they are inking the rare earths deal and why they approached us for Manono."

"We will walk away from deals that does not advance our national interests"

Making sure they have alternate access to Lithium etc is advancing their National Interests. This is a strategic play.
This is all about advancing the national interests of the US.

$1.5Billion USD ( 65 cent aud ) + Royalties= above ATH ? Add to that possible CDL compensation = $1.50 + .

I think Nigel has his freckle well and truly covered .

Not enough. And after this shitshow I don't want to be beholden to any royalties (ie. promises to be paid something in the future).

Ukraine, US sign additional documents on implementing minerals deal

Ukraine and the US have signed additional agreements concerning a natural resources deal, a key demand of US President Donald Trump which is crucial for sustaining military aid for Kyiv.

The move brings both countries closer to finalizing a major profit-sharing deal aimed at securing US investment opportunities in Ukraine.

You're confusing Trump with the Bush/Cheney administration from the turn of the century. Trump is a lover not a fighter:

What I really don't get are these Kobold guys. They don't have the funds to even make a low ball offer on their own. In addition to their lacking mining expertise. So they would need a bigger player like Rio in the boat. However, why would Rio need Kobold anyhow? Their fancy AI approach bla bla is totally needless in the Manono case. For me, they feel to be as useless as Cominiere, actually. Why would Rio want to share their cake with such a useless player? Or is it just because there need to be some US player in the equation?

Sorry, but the only reason why AVZ is alive and kicking is due to our BOD!!

Without their hardwork and perserverance in obtaining Locke funding which forced Caths hand to provide better terms, then we would all be completely fucked.

Post Cath funding, the irony is that its been the ruthless , corrupt rebel forces intrusion in the DRC that has prompted the equally corrupt FT to put his tail between his legs , cap in hand and beg the US for protection in lieu of a critical mineral deal.

Music to Trumps ears , situations fell right in his lap and AVZs for that matter too, game changer.

Trump / Kobold is just a mere opportunist benefactor ..........nothing more.

imo

... alternate access ...

So to speak when you go back in 2024 you'll find this comment by a buddy of Trump that stated "Reacting to reports of rising lithium prices, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the company could mine and refine lithium directly at scale. He explained that in reality there is no shortage of this element, since it is present almost everywhere on Earth".

Pretty easy.

If I recall correctly, Musk once directly reacted towards a request regarding AVZ on X or so, a couple of years ago. I believe, he said that Manono would be developed by another party already. (by AVZ and CATH at these days)

Despite his lowballing of Lithium supply, he of course should definitely be interested in Manono. Meanwhile, he is lurking around all of Trumps deals. Makes me wonder why he is not (in)directly involved in the DRC security deal, but Gates and Bezos instead. Or is he lurking in the background behind the scene?

If Musk would actually dare to mine lithium, at least HE could be in need of Kobold for their limited expertise. Musk also crashed a date night of Beezos and Trump December last year. They might have even discussed the Manono topic? And they might just send this low key wanna be explorer in front to lowball any offers?
