It states the costs and price are both essentially variable.....cost to produce is variable around the $2.94 stated and price of sale is variable between $4-$50 depending on volume. Other costs may result in different prices for both the cost and sale price. They never stated exact definitive prices for either.

Hi FuzM,

With the emphasis on US IP, I thought that our Frontgrade Gaisler GR801 RISC-V experience would be ruled out because FG is Swedish, but Abraworks is British, so the players don't need to be US companies.

We are also working with other RISC-V processor companies like SiFive, Andes and Haila, so we do have a lot of irons in the RISC-V fire.

Regards the 1500 chip tape out and Gen 2.: Says expect 1500 chip orders and licenses on Gen 2 - down the track with extensive evaluations with certain customers right now.
Not sure whether the GEN 2 evaluations is new clients or existing clients that are in late stage with AKIDA1000 upgrading to Gen2/TENNs. Conversion should be pretty quick,
My opinion. I think its likely mostly late stage AKIDA1000 conversions to GEN2/TENNs which explains Seans " So, look for some licenses on that as well". What do other posters think?

So you believe that the variable costs to produce a silicon chip ($2.94) are the only costs requested by a chip foundry and that the receiving company is selling those chips to end users using a price per chip range of $4 - $50? Have you considered what other costs are associated with producing silicon chips that a foundry must include? For example; salaries, capital expenditure (those big buildings that house those expensive machines that make the chips), research and development and other costs that are fixed regardless of the amount ordered?

After the tenth time of you having raised this topic, I have come to the conclusion that it might help all of us if you tried to use some of your own perceptrons and actually tell us what you think is going on.

Are you saying $2.94 is fantasy? Are you implying gross margins are imaginary? Or, are you hinting that fixed costs are being quietly smuggled in via that gold-coloured man-bag Sean took to CES 2025?

Because we’re all far too busy looking under every gum leaf for the revenue (still missing by the way, having possibly been ingested by a blue-tongue lizard), to try to decode the deeper metaphysical meaning of your semiconductor cost philosophy.

If you think the economics don’t stack up, then please feel free to help us out a bit and say it a little more plainly.

After all we’re mere investors, not archaeologists (although at this stage we may as well be, since we’ve dug up more dirt looking for what we’re supposedly “watching out for” than a backhoe doing an earth-moving demo at the Agriculture Expo which Smoothy and Harry Cool are going to be attending in March).

Are you saying that based on available information we can or cannot ascertain the likely cost of BrainChip's various Akida products?

Or is your point something other?
