The FTSE 100 and European stocks were higher this Friday as in the UK investors shrugged off weak retail figures.
The FTSE 100 (^FTSE) rose 0.17% to 7,759 points during midday trading, while the CAC 40 (^FCHI) in Paris jumped 0.67% to 6,998 points. In Germany, the DAX (^GDAXI) advanced 0.39% to 14,977.
