The FTSE 100 has managed to extend gains to a fourth straight session and is on track for its biggest weekly jump in two months, while European stocks were lower on Friday.
The FTSE 100 (^FTSE) climbed 0.39% to 7,663 in early trading, while the CAC 40 (^FCHI) in Paris was muted at 6,765 points. In Germany, the DAX (^GDAXI) retreated 0.14% to 14,416.
