The FTSE 100 and European stocks were lower this Thursday amid expectations that interest rates in the US will stay higher for longer.
The FTSE 100 (^FTSE) lost 0.56% to 7,885 points during afternoon trading, while the CAC 40 (^FCHI) in Paris slipped 0.21% to 7,309 points. In Germany, the DAX (^GDAXI) retreated 0.15% to 15,608.
