You can call an EGM with 5% in favour….so an aligned collective of retail could possibly get that and call a meeting.

But……you still need to get more than 50% of shares to vote in favour of whatever resolution is put forward to the EGM for it to pass and that is highly unlikely given the voting performance at the recent AGM.

Therefore retail votes unlikely to pass a resolution at a EGM as the most the retail can push against the BoD is about 15-20%

I asked Nige during his Melb RS preso if the dispute (with CAMI) over getting PE for north/CDL was the key issue holding up ML. He said yes it is 1 of the key issues. Now I see it a another example/facet of the over-riding problem - DRC corruption and Chyna influence/bribes at the highest levels of DRC Govt.

I think FT's focus is playing a long game, slowly cleaning up some corruption & ignoring some other corruption if needed to get himself re-elected. I don't know what side of the ledger we/AVZ stand on. My glass half full view (inspired by IGF/Jules' public stand for AVZ) is that AVZ will probably get ML. I just hope we get it soon, well before this Nov/Dec (?) election. IMO. GLTAH. Sparrowhawk.

What greater way to win votes than to announce the mining license for AVZ, particularly in the Manono region as the princess's area is around there.
I believe that Felix will have a raft of announcements in due time in order to garnish favoritism with the voting public. It's Politics!

Felix is in UAE atm talking about how the DRC is a solution country for the worlds switch to EVs, he needs to be back by 31st to say hi to the pope and tell him all about how the DRC is open for business, then I imagine he is off again on the private jet, fuck fixing anything in country he isn't president or anything.....oh wait.
It would be nice to have him back in the DRC and the changes proposed made by the Friday council ministers meeting.
The propaganda they throw out is baffling for sure, seems to serve no purpose, just like the law over there.

Yea he has had a meeting with Nigel. He is aware. Starting to suspect he likes snacks tbh. His movement on the corruption is so slow it’s pretty much a crime itself.

Felix knows who AVZ are. He has been more than happy to take a picture with AVZ management and lawyers in the past. It is curious that no photos are available from this key meeting with Nigel last year. I don't doubt that it occurred but it's strange that it wasn't documented.

We will find out in the next few weeks. The ministerial reshuffle is expected by the end of January. If the same roadblocks are still in place after this occurs and Felix doesn't intervene with a presidential decree then we will need to put up the for sale sign.

But hard to see what Felix's ulterior motive would be. If he wanted to take Manono off us he would have already done so. I am certain he understands that the deposit needs to come online for his vision of a DRC battery industry to come to fruition.

I think Felix has already started the process to see the impasse resolved. He would prefer to only personally get involved if absolutely necessary. There's more to being king than getting your way all the time imo

Economic forum finished a few days ago. Just like everyone of the whispers that people keep hearing, the rumours have once again proven to be unfounded. No change of governing ministers in sights, especially no removal of any of the roadblocks in our way.

The people in the DRC who are directly affected by this impasse should be vocal about all of this. Yet we hear no demonstrations or protests in regards to this. AVZ also silent makes it even more stupid. Only a few journalists speaking on Twitter (the vast majority of the population would have no idea what they even type) have spread any word of our plight.

At what point does AVZ spend a mere fraction of their high legal fees on a public relations push in country? It’s a joke we have stayed quiet for all this time with no progress to be seen or found.

The President only cares about his re-election. So make him care about us by pinning this mining lisence to thousands of votes in the community of Manono and the surrounding communities who would benefit from AVZ.

It’s all a big joke. Overpaid part time management that can’t even tell us what the plan is to break this impasse. Or who is directly responsible for it all.

They have no fucken idea never have / paßt fucking it off.

A few observations and areas for improvement:

• Wiggle tip: when making door-frames make them higher than your average human.
• Photo composure tip: don’t put the tallest guy next to the shortest guy
• Fashion: While most of the world has moved away from double-breasted suits, Felix holds the line. He is his own man - what does that say about him?
• Those ties: Why is it that only the fucking lawyers know how to tie a double-Windsor knot? Oh the humanity!
