Clearly Nigel should have been on the ground the last 3 years, not in Perth. Thats how you earn the PR’s. At least he could have said “I tried”. If he had been there all the time.

I dont think he can ever make that claim now, regardless of the out come.

I stand by the 50m reasons to get a decent outcome. Just not sure many here have the ability to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Most seem to want to be emotional, when what really counts is get your capital back and hopefully with a decent profit.

The longer it drags on the lower the chances. The stats are there if you go looking.

It is clear that the DRC govt is getting impatient with this impasse, although it actually precipitated it through blatant multi-level corruption within its own jurisdiction.
However, this is no longer a zero-sum game, but a wake-up call to Dathcom, to AVZ's board, to Zijin, to Cominiere and to anyone else swimming in this cesspool...it could all evaporate in an instant if a workable arrangement is not reached.
If AVZ can get everyone in the room, and cool heads prevail a workable formula can be developed. There is far too much at stake to not agree a workable solution.

I agree but not one of those cretins seems to pay attention to who has put the effort and money in since 2016, also who has consistently blocked, disrupted, bribed and corrupt for years.
This is no normal ‘negotiation’ scenario. We don’t budge as we are being attacked while doing the right thing not only for us but for the DRC while the Chinese are blatantly not, if they wanted in then they could have come to Dathcom not try sneak through Cominiere, we have ROFR for a reason, so you know what Felix we will take up that option for $33 mil like Zijin did as it’s our RIGHT as per this contract.
We need to be in a room with both Felix and Antoinette and not leave with our advisors and lawyers until an agreement is sorted, we will buy that 15% BUT you abide by your own laws and sort out Mupande and Zijin aswell as Cong, if you want investment we are the first ones to invest in your batter Dream and you are shitting all over us, how does that look Felix. No budge on what is already ours or laws broken to change !!!!

So much angst on here today! I really struggle to see how this isn't a positive step for us.
Lets look at the news we've had over the past week or so:

1. Ministerial reshuffle
2. Cominiere claiming back its rights in the project ie fk off Zijin and MMCS
3. Undoing of the tenement split.

Can anyone tell me how any of this is possibly positive for the cretins at Zijin or other corrupt actors trying to steal a chunk of our project?
It's a painful process but IMO these are all steps forwards for us. And at the very least they're a step towards a resolution, and any resolution is better than perpetual purgatory.

IIRC MoM has 30-days from application to issue a decree? IMO we are obtaining legal advice because we are well outside that 30-day period now and the only decree the MoM has issued was rubbish that they ended up rescinding. So AVZ now trying to figure out whether to wait for new decree - which will absolutely come to replace old one - or take it straight to court to have it approved. Either way, an actual timer running down now to more news on this.

The comments in this latest decree about shareholders getting along - IMO targeted more at Cominiere than AVZ. But regardless, nothing in there that can be used to hold up issuing another decree. They make a comment about wanting to get this moving, well, the next step now is them issuing new decree.

So we have progress on every front:

1. Corruption - Removal (or at least moving) of corrupt actors
2. Ownership - Undoing of Cominiere's dodgy attempts to flog part of the project
3. Permit - Confirmation that we have the entire tenement and that is what should be covered by forthcoming exploitation permit

Yeah it's slow but I still really struggle to see how these aren't all moving things gradually towards a resolution in AVZ's favour.

We are well aware of the reality, we've been in suspension for 9 months.

Nigel literally stated that he is not willing to negotiate with (edit: anyone that has come on board) in bad faith.

I recommend everyone read this. It seems Cominiere went on the warpath in Dec claiming the licence Decree should be cancelled because AVZ requested the split of the tenement. It also highlights a thrust of a number of other attack strategy darts theyve thrown at the MoM to hit out at AVZ. No wonder on receipt of this the MoM is perhaps concerned about the stay of play at relationship level between us and Cominiere and questioning whether it's tenable. Not saying any of this is legit or unskewed info, but it does lay out a key attack that may have supported the Decree cancellation

Read the announcement a few times and fully understand its implications compared to what many have said would occur. They have been proven to be very wrong, yet you use me as a vessel for your anger.

I don’t see any reason for any secrecy from the company moving forward. They have played the “cards close to the chest” strategy since May 2022. And a complete waste of time that’s been.

Cominière SA is a DRC public company, puppet of the bad actors within DRC government.
We've not seen any good faith from a DRC politician since the decree which has now been renounced.
Imo don't be surprised if the DRC government back their own regardless the scandals over the past few months. ACAJ is backing cominière in stripping AVZ of the licence.
Many mainstream articles have been dismissed as rubbish by the faithful over the past few months but in reality the undercurrent has been concerning.
On the flip side we've got the igf but even here AVZ's initial 60% has been left open for question.
I'm not trying present as negative but those saying that this is all clearly beneficial for AVZ might want to look at things from all angles.
