Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, BrainChip Holdings Ltd (BRN, ASX: BRN) requests the immediate implementation of a trading halt in its securities, being fully paid ordinary shares, to apply from the time of receipt of this request by ASX and until the earlier of the Company making an announcement relating to a capital raise, or the commencement of trading on Thursday, 25 July 2024.

is it unusual that Anil, out of the blue, retired two weeks prior to this trading halt / CR?
As others have said, perhaps he was completely comfortable that a cornerstone investor was coming on board and he can retire comfortably?

Surely it can't be another typo?

Very cleverly, typos are Brainchip's checksum. If an announcement didn't contain one, it's fake news!

The delay indicates its obviously NOT a run of the mill working capital raise. These are simple. BRN could have just made a 5 minute call and filled out a form to get working capital from LDA.
Has to be more to it. Likely positive i hope.

I thought without an annoncement they had to open trade this morning.

They can be back trading anytime today or not!!

An announcement has to be made today...(1) end of trading Halt (2) Extension of TH (3) Voluntary suspension

"Note: ASX Operating Rule 16.4. 2 says that a trading halt can be applied for a period not exceeding the commencement of normal trading on the second trading day following the day on which it is requested"

We are currently in contravention of ASX rules, as far as I can tell.

IMO .... all this can only imply that there will be no IP agreements nor any revenue stream for some time to come.
