Mercedes-Benz and the University of Waterloo have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on research led by Prof. Chris Eliasmith in the field of neuromorphic computing.
The focus is on developing algorithms for advanced driver assistance systems.
By mimicking the way the human brain works, neuromorphic computing could significantly improve AI calculations, making them faster and more energy efficient.
While maintaining vehicle range, safety systems could, for example, recognize traffic signs, lanes and objects much better and react faster, even in poor visibility.
The collaboration with the University of Waterloo expands a number of our existing research collaborations on neuromorphic computing.
To exploit the full potential of neuromorphic computing, we are building a network of universities and research partnerships.

Mercedes-Benz and the University of Waterloo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on research led by Prof. Chris Eliasmith in the field of neuromorphic computing.
The focus is on the development of algorithms for advanced driver assistance systems.

Well if Mercedes just announced that they signed a collaborate agreement now… and we know that
1. Mercedes wants to use brainchip - and it paid the fees before to brainchip
2. the professor said
We believe neuromorphic semiconductor chips will run the next generation of AI systems, and BrainChip’s hardware technology is a complete development solution for companies entering the neuromorphic chip market.”
and we also know
3. there is no real competition to brainchip
So who else is Mercedes going to use.. and why would they go on a collaboration agreement If the partnership is not a live?
just my simple logic…
maybe they just want to explore what is the best way to implement/tweak BRN in mercedes or new ideas ..how to improve/expand and connect with other systems in the car with BRN.. but they definitely on the same page i think….

Pass this information on to Tony D (Investor Relations) for comment.Three months ago, I had noticed the following about our (former) sales representative in Israel, Mauro Diamant, and his company’s website:
“According to his LinkedIn profile, Mauro Diamant remains the sales representative of BrainChip in Israel - strangely, though, the IPro Silicon IP website no longer mentions our company at all…
Instead, the logos of two other companies are now prominently displayed next to that of SiFive: Baya Systems (the company that came out of stealth in June and where Nandan Nayampally is now CCO) and Xiphera. This trio is referred to as being IPro’s “leading vendors” - which suggests IPro actually represents more than three IP vendors - but weirdly the reference to “groundbreaking neuromorphic intelligence” seems to point in the direction of Baya Systems, not in ours?
“IPro provides a comprehensive suite of IP solutions, including cutting-edge IP technologies from SiFive, Xiphera and Baya.” This statement also suggests there are more than those three vendors to choose from.
Scrolling further down, however, it sounds as if those three companies are the only vendors that IPro currently represents in Israel?

We still need BrainChip, to prove to the World, what we already know and believe and land the deals that concretize those beliefs.
Until that happens, we will continue to be pushed around a bit..
But sentiment, knowledge/awareness of and Company progress, is heading in the right direction.

Since ChatGPT started permeating the news at the end of 2022 and early 2023, it has ridden pretty hard on the hype cycle. Because it was such a hot topic, companies were using AI in about everything, including software, if it contained any "if" statement that performed logic.
Backpacks, toilets, and products that would have benefited the least from AI were being marketed with it. People actually started getting tired of it becoming the new corporate buzzword.
AI does have its place and its uses. Not every product will be markedly enhanced by incorporating legitimate AI enablement or having those two letters stamped on marketing materials.
Fortunately, neuromorphic processors like Akida have a specific purpose in mind in real-world applications and the benefits of using that hardware. Those who have already signed contracts with BrainChip know this firsthand. It is true AI that will make a difference in the products to which those visionaries apply it.
BrainChip's Akida is best demonstrated by our customers' products that benefit the average consumer in new and novel ways, instead of just providing a written abstract about its merits.

In my humble opinion, the pullback is caused by short term traders profit taking. Shorters are also very relentless to drive the SP down prior to the commencement of CES 2025 - with a goal of scaring off some short term and T+2 holders so that they can cover their short positions at a better exit price. Typical tree shaking!
In my opinion, I believe there are more upsides then downsides based on the following:
* strong validations from the US Air Force & Frontgrade in December 2024
* assurance from the CEO Sean's interview (Nov 2024) & investor podcast (31 Dec 2024) that 2025 will be a good year for Brainchip and Sean expects more announcements are on the way
* macro economics - interest rates has started falling in the US since Sept 2024 and the prolonged Russia/Ukraine global conflict will soon be resolving once Trump regains power...
Also, the world is starting to notice neuromorphic edge AI, and Brainchip is strategically placed at the centre stage!
The worst should be behind us. We have reached the inflection point! Its only a matter of time when this skyrockets...
I have added some more today taking advantage of the pullback
I look forward to CES 2025 which will start in 2 business days!!!
