The smokey now is the emergence of the US via the battery chain MOU. Telling in that agreement is the undertaking by the US to detect and deter corruption throughout the process from mine to battery production.

So I ask myself, what did FT offer them in exchange for making available their vast security and intelligence expertise. Just batteries, or access to lithium and/or cobalt supply security.

Whatever, its a bold play by FT given the gorilla of DRC investment, China. Interesting times for all players. If the Yanks want to take us out, so be it. Issue us our license and let the bidding war begin. :)
Nek minnit Klaus comments about license for Roche dure being reviewed making sense and US suddenly owns it all.

Refer to my previous post.
The big question is how long Felix has been the one deciding and when was he aware of what had actually happened. I said here a few weeks ago, when everyone was getting annoyed that Felix hadn't acted sooner, that it was better he hadn't because we would have already been rat fucked. The recent trend is on our side imo

From the AGM:

What happened after ML Decree, spurious yet we’re in suspension. What’s the main issue for ML – is it Dathomir, is Zijin ICC arbitration 15, dispute with exploration rights?

A: Lot of players in vogue here in country, lot of hatchet jobs being done – President had a bad view from being ill advised by detractors (e.g. we hadn’t done anything, didn’t have money experience, and were speculators). Detractors continuing, but slowly slowly we’re working to remove the blocks.

We knew Chinese would have a crack, but we did not expect parts of DRC government to be in on it?

A: Nor did we - “we thought it was gambit by Chinese groups to get project cheapest way. We weren’t aware it was also elements of the government complicit. We can’t go into it, but rest assured those people are being turned over within meetings with real information is being shared, and people put on the spot.

I couldn't agree more.it was always going to somone big. But for me it's all about dollars. Selfish yes have no interest in saving the drc from corruption that will come and avz or Zijin will have absolutely no say in it. Its called progression. Just a decent price is all we can ask now imo.

You’ve done it again CD. That’s a really nice pick-me-up from someone on the ground that is closer to the action than any of us here. Good stuff.
I'm not any closer to the action than anyone else here. I'm definitely less so than most imo

I've never spoken to anyone at AVZ or in the DRC. I'm just some random dude that has a folder full of screenshots on my phone and can speak a bit of French. Everything I post is based off public information.

I don't even have that many shares really. Just under 300,000. No where near enough to get invited to the roadshow. But it's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

I'm in wait and see mode. Things are happening. I can't say for sure if it will be in our favour but I do think we are in a better position than a few months ago.

Personally I can't see Felix turning his back on the IGF and the NGO's in an election year. But stranger things have happened. If he doesn't want AVZ mining Manono then the easiest way forward is for someone to buy us out with the boards approval.

One things for sure Felix has been involved for a long time now based off Nigel's 'President had a bad view from being ill advised by detractors' comment at the AGM imo

I sort of agree but for us to get rid of it (for a decent price )we need the ml. The second paragraph I'm with u. The cat would have known about this project before he was elected. For sure in my book. so is he just playing the game knowing full well avz have no hope of bringing this resource to market In a timely manner at scale and leaving his opinions open. Imo probably. But that's not helping us sh's. Cheers in hanoi best city in the world so can't complain.( only for a few weeks fuck it) Where u if u don't mind me asking. If in aus must be late.

It shows that cominiere is a bunch of assholes, they just can’t even want/can pay their lawyers.
The DG of cominiere tried to postpone the hearing but it was to late after ICC rules.

The lawyer’s from cominiere have sent a letter to different people of the government.
Cominiere stated in September 22 that they don’t need the lawyers anymore because they are in negotiations with mmcs.
6 days before the first hearing cominiere ask their lawyers if they can ask mmcs and icc if they can postpone the hearing, because of the negotiations.
But they give no informations about the negotiations. And it looks like it’s a lie, mmcs stated on 5th August 22 that they want to persue the proceedings without hesitation.

Summary: cominiere owe their lawyers money for the last years but don’t want to pay for. Lies to their lawyers. Looks like they lie to mmcs, and tactically wanted to delay the whole hearings for what ever reason.

And at the moment it looks like they lie about the 5% for mmcs (what would be a breach of the jv contract), so mmcs was confused at the hearing.

Maybe they have fucking luck because the lawyers they don’t want to pay for are saving their asses. But that can only be seen after a judgement.

Cominiere should not exist! These documents are another prove of the general mismanagement by cominiere and the mismanagement in our JV.

But one thing is interesting, the hearings are from the 16 until 23 january.

IMO subsequent events have overtaken this situation. That correspondence is 10 days ago. Since then the DRC Minister of Justice has agreed to send the lawyers to ICC. I believe the scam to screw the people of DRC to benefit the hidden shareholders of MMCS ( only one or two guesses needed to work out that arrangement) has been exposed, and moves are already afoot to sort this out.

Fuck, I can't fuck'n believe I wrote that without fuck'n swearing

Arsehole

I have been known to be wrong though........

Retrobyte

Hates a beer
Some good hits but no 250m, 300m home runs like AVZ

Under a lake

No resource as yet, no dfs, etc etc

Already at half of AVZs market cap @ 1.2 billion

Great run and I have traded it but market cap is maxed out at present given the above IMO

They are very good numbers though compared to just about any other company apart from AVZ. Grade is very strong and those results are world class. I have not bought PMT but those drill results are the sort of numbers that attracted me to AVZ in 2017. Being in the US gives them a massive head start as well - if we don't get our show on the road this year then the likes of Patriot will attract all the attention and funding while the DRC continues to fuck about and get nothing done.

Hi CHB

I know I'm swimming against the tide, but I believe the Yanks have no pressing interest in the DRC other than security. I don't believe they are looking at taking over Manono or even taking a part position.

The Yanks are well aware that the DRC remains a cesspool of corruption, despite Felix's global stage-strutting and preaching about the DRC becoming the new Babylon of battery manufacture.

The Yanks' interest in the DRC is primarily a game of chess with China.

Cheers
F

Quite possibly. I do think they just want to get their foot into DRC and have access to their resources before it's too late.

My comment was tongue in cheek, but given all the crap that's occurred the scenario wouldn't even surprise me.

Sorry CD, I wasn’t clear. The “on-the-ground“ bit was a reference to Frank, who’s messages you had posted.

The yanks are not taking our ML. The rule of law still applies in the DRC (only just…).

Theirs is a strategic play - they want china out and friendly‘s in. So long as we’ve been compliant with the Mining Code and the Mining Regs, we’ll get the ML. When, and what any ML area carve-up looks like remains the mystery.
