My thoughts are it would be naive to think the Chinese just want 15% and then they’ll play happily. They see blood in the water. They want this whole fucking thing and will stoop to anything to get just that. The pricks
I’ve been critical of the BoD but to be honest for 11+ months it’s been our BoD vs China and I think to still be in the fight they’ve done well. We might even come out if it with our pants on, just maybe…..

The DRC elections are fast approaching - the inaction on this project will not win any votes nor will gifting it to the Chinese.

Look I actually think we should take this one seriously because it's come from several people lately including the wonderful Frank, that we need to stop the insults and disrespect. Various congolese have stated that at minimum, it is NOT helping us.
I think the message of corruption has been put out there to death anyway, we've saturated the market.
How about we cease until May at least.
Keep posting calling out misinformation, and promoting the good of AVZ.
And yes I think our enemies are emulating shareholders being terribly disrespectful, so point them out and tell them they don't represent shareholders.

I think at this point it does seem that attacking the DRC players involved could potentially be counter-productive
Strongly getting the positive AVZ messages out there and showing their respect for the laws and the mining code and the Congolese community will win over more supporters and increase pressure to get a good outcome
And yes continuing to swiftly and strongly rebutt any misinformation out there with straightforward honesty and facts is an absolute must
Just maybe we are positioning for some moves on the chessboard and a return to trading?

I dont think is a matter of being groomed mate, its a matter whereby all longs need to have a open mind about how things will play out.
As i said before on this forum, this extended suspension fiasco isnt my first rodeo, i had high expectations that WFE & VEC would come out ALL positive ........only for both coys to turn to shit and it was demoralising for my phsyche!!
As a consequence, i rarely trust anything these days in the investing game and it forced me away from being a long term holder, to a active trader, which i guess was the silver lining in losing a heap of capital thru blind faith
The fact remains, Mr Market hasnt priced in ROFR, its priced AVZ as having 51% control of Dathcom, with 100% rights to CDL .
So if these negotiations play out with AVZ retaining that status quo, ML in hand with Zijin gaining 15% ROFR ( but paying full price, thus also paying 15% capex, ICC arbitration withdrawn ), Cath 24% ( $240m cash injection ) DRC 10%, ( or 15% with Cath taking a smaller percentage ), everything agreed and fort knoxed signed and sealed, then it wont be the end of the world by any means if that was presented to Mr Market, especially if extra sugar was added to the equation with updated DFS , FID etc
Given the DRC would probably want to see rapid development with CDL, compromises may have to extend further with AVZ JV with Zijin in some way or form.....
Regards to Dathomir, now i dont reckon they have a case at all, but to avoid lengthy ICC deliberations, if all parties in Dathcom contributed a FUCK OFF payment ( AVZ, CATH , ZIJIN, DRC ), then that would be well received by Mr Market too................markets hate ambiguity!
Dont get me wrong, doing business with Zijin makes me vomit, especially with that " black mail " letter sent to Cominiere , but at the same time, they do have a positive reputation regards to building mines.
So i really hope our " best bod of ASX " is looking in to all scenarios like this to get the most important lithium project on the planet into production ASAP for everyone concerned.
EOD, there needs to be a WIN, WIN solution here regardless of who is right or wrong, cause we ( AVZ ) are in a DAVID v GOLIATH situation where if pride gets in the way, then GOLIATH could simply strip us for not " creating harmony within Dathcom going forward "
I think everyone know my position on FT, i wont say anymore for the fear of upsetting @MoneyBags1348 , but he would want to see Manono solution done and dusted ASAP with evidence of construction to pacify the locals into giving him votes for re election at EOY, counter balancing his inability to act on his mandate of extinguishing corruption , which he is a complete fail and imposter.
In the mean time, 21 days to go ICC , Zijin v AVZ, would love to see Zijin get embarrassed early in a open court with a global audience aka MMCS......

On the business of ASX Announcements, I've had correspondence at least a dozen times over the years with the ASX Listing Compliance Section as well as ASIC and I'm sure the ASX will be fully supporting AVZ.
On the business of decision making in the DRC, Cominiere is a state owned Mining Company that is 90% owned by the state, so that gives you an idea of where the power lies. Cominiere have been running at a loss (or probably more accurately Going Bankrupt) for years which is one reason they have gotten away with taking bribes from mining companies in the DRC, just so they can keep operating. This is embarrassing enough for the DRC government, but worse still is that it appears Corruption's mate.... 'Greed' realised the value of Dathcom and isn't happy giving AVZ the % ownership it legally acquired after 6 years of proving up the resource including:
Carrying out Soil Sampling, Field Mapping, Consulting, Drilling, Metallurgical Testing, Completing a FEED Study, Environmental Study and Impact Assessment Reports including Groundwater Management, a 160 page Definitive Feasibility Study, a SEZ Agreement, Tendering for Mining Infrastructure, Legally Obtaining and Paying For an Increased Share of Dathcom, Obtaining Several Offtake Agreements for both Lithium and Tin, Raising Capital, Negotiating Funding with Pan African DFI’s and a Funding and Offtake Agreement with CATH, Presenting at the Battery Minerals Conference, Legally Fulfilling all Requirements to Obtain the Mining License, Including Receiving the Ministerial Decree to Award the Mining License; Obtaining a site for establishing a logistics infrastructure plan; And spending millions of dollars and Supporting the Local Community….
Producing an 85 page Sustainability Report committing to:
Environmental and Social Governance (ESG); Socio - economic benefits; Preserving environmental values; Providing a transparent and ethical supply chain; Ending poverty; Improving health and education; Reducing inequality; Contributing to economic growth; Minimising greenhouse gas emissions; Preserving biodiversity; Restoring the Mpiana Mwanga Power Plant; Supplying energy to local communities; Making a positive contribution to the lives of people in the region; Providing direct and indirect employment opportunities; Leaving a positive legacy for future generations and Maintaining a strong sense of loyalty
Nicolas Kazadi is the DRC Finance Minister and has lots of knowledge and experience when it comes to corruption in the DRC mining sector and he has known about Dathcom's situation for a long time. I don't believe for a second that he and Felix don't know what is going on, so it seems non state actors like Zigin, Simon Cong and other Chinese actors and companies need to be kept in the spotlight

I agree with your comments BEISH.Just watched an interview with Nicolas Kazadi and he was stressing the importance of time and how the DRC needs to get the battery manufacturing up and running as soon as possible. He also mentioned the importance of ESG which you can see we fulfilled in the Sustainability Report

This is how I see it as well.
All the posts talking about 60% 51% 75%.. meaningless.
We give away some % to corruption then its the whole project gone IMO. Kiss your money goodbye and pray you get something back from ICC after 3-4 years. That is IMO what the board is fighting for - to keep the project in itself.

The trouble with investing heavily in AVZ, having a responsibility of keeping up to date with all things AVZ and being part of this forum…. Is that you are constantly reviewing your own, as well as other’s information and opinions and constantly reassessing them
My final thoughts for the day (hopefully) after going back over recent information is that the announcement on Friday was merely to make clear to the ASX that the main reason for the continuing suspension is the fact that non state (Chinese) actors are continuing to obstruct the outcome regarding our ML
I personally believe that this is a part of the obstruction that the DRC government could easily remedy if they chose, however the illegal sale of shares by state owned Cominiere has made it clear what the project is worth and greed now says
Or in other words…. The DRC wants a greater percentage of the project now that you have done all the work and we know what it is worth.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they care or not whether Zigin is in on it or not…. The President, the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, the Mining Minister and the Portfolio Minister all know all there is to know about this project (including all the illegalities, fraudulence, corruption and what it’s worth) and they now want more for themselves
