We really were always in a lose-lose situation:

1) Pay the bribes, be blackmailed and have license revoked when refusing to pony up for the inevitable increasing extortion.
2) Don't pay bribes, officials see themselves as entitled to skim off the top and would rather make life hell for tens of thousands of people just to keep the status quo of their corruption.

Game was rigged from the start.
Yep seems like that bud… Hope Nigel and AVZ Crew have understood this now hence legal action taken place.

Let’s all get out of this mess would be the best 2025 ever 👍 🍻

Another poster posted this
Maybe their Assumptions has merit..!!!
All in their opinion i guess..??

IMO the AFP investigation is a wild throw at the stumps based on a complaint concerning whether AVZ is permitted under company law to enter into an Agreement for funding when its cash reserves are more or less dried up. I am tipping the Chinese and their buddies at MMGA are behind this approach as a last ditch effort to discredit the Management team about the legality of borrowing cash when the company is not trading and hasn't undertaken a cash raise to provide the liquidity for the Loan.

The fact that our Annual Report hasn't been published that many seem to think is an issue could be linked to this scenario and the AFP investigation as any assets AVZ has would also form part of this funding discussion. .

I was under the impression some institutional investors and our Board had kicked in some cash to get the funds up to $20M which was the amount originally being sought to fund our legal cases and provide some cashflow to operate the business. The verdict of the ICC Case against Cominiere must be expected in the first quarter of this year which if AVZ is successful will impose the payment of hefty fines. There would be no shortage of cash if this happened to be paid but IMO Cominiere are highly unlikely to accept the ICC decision or pay any fine that the ICC impose. The verdict and ruling by the ICC that Cominiere have engaged in illegal conduct (causing the penalty) will definitely be of interest to the President and this could have an impact on negotiations with AVZ to settle this dispute before the next Arbitration hearing.

Why ask a question of holders when one simple search can reveal an answer the poster is looking for, unless you’re baiting of course … There are no bilateral extradition agreements between Australia & DRC.

Extradition is only allowed if the perpetrator has committed an offence in the territory of the requesting State; outside its territory by a national of that State; or outside its territory by a person foreign to that State, when the offense can be prosecuted under Congolese laws

And they are still trying to get info for their bosses about what is really going on.

If that fails they resort to step 2, bait, derail and destruct.

Would you wait and see if the Locke Funding has an influence on decisions made ? It's just taken 2.5 years for the China / DRC Gov to realize their stall tactics haven't worked . Give these Corrupt f--kers one last chance to reconsider , then lock and load the ICSID if they would rather remain low life Corrupt Criminal Scumbags . Simples

Nope. Pay the fees anyway and keep proceedings underway.
The bastards will agree to anything and then renege to make another delay.
No more chances. Fukkum.
Keep going until we see cold hard cash in our hands.

I thought they would have before the end of December

I can't recall exactly how long they have to pay before the action/case lapses

We're paying for both parties if my memory serves me correctly

I haven't read up (in a hurry to get somewhere right now) but here's a link to ICC and ICSID fee schedules

Hope it maybe helps

One woud assume AVZ Nigel would keep all AVZ S H updated on a regular basis..!

How do I keep up to date with AVZ’s progress?
Progress will be reported to shareholders as appropriate and will be announced to shareholders via the AVZ website at www.avzminerals.com.au.

What happens to AVZ?
AVZ is an unlisted disclosing entity and continues to be required to fulfill all of the obligations of Australia’s Corporations Act, including continuous disclosure obligations.

I think It will only pay if the negotiations that are likely in play at this time break down.

Some see it as a negative not having paid the outstanding fee's, however I still presently chose to see it as a positive that we have not paid the fee's, maybe a deal has been struck or is close.

I realise that the recent AFP issue adds a degree of confusion or complexity to what might be in play at this time, but it's difficult to calculate what it's overall effect will be on our success without more factual details imo.
