I’m hoping for relisting and a special dividend at some point in the future so LTH can sell on market and access CGT discount. Much like PSC, but of course they never delisted.

• a formal liquidation with a capital distribution.

Both of these would trigger a CGT event, allowing eligible long-term holders to access the CGT discount. That’s the correct structure — anything else risks handing a large chunk of the return straight to the Australian government who frankly have done fuck all to support us.

Likely a buyback will be out of the question... the company will still have retained profits that need clearing via dividends if they sell the project. A buy back won't enable big cgt discount amounts and not ordinary income... yes it can at times, but, practically won't be the case here.


Cgt discount will likely only be available on some company paying us cash for our avz shares or script for script...(the sell those shares eventually).

Anything above $226m will be dividends most likely... (under a buy back scenario)

What makes you think that a re-listingwill definitely not happen though? I think it is unlikely as well, but would have thought it is possible.

Re-listing is 100% looking likely and the Kobold scrip offer is certainly emerging

Without that the Zijin/CCP counter offer won't happen and the Saudis are more likely to provide the best option

If none of that comes to light then definitely the US backed push from Trump with the peace deal in the mix should prevail

Other than that I suggest there's a bunch of fucked up flogs/trolls on the forum who will probably start to experience some genuine cyber heat from the appropriate authorities

Our buyback is part of a company wind-up, so CGT will absolutely apply—we’re talking about a return of capital, not a dividend. Different rules entirely. Essentially, winding up -> CGT applies. Ongoing operations -> part dividend (taxable), part capital (CGT).

Do you mean a sale of our shares to kobold wine? Rather than avz receiving the cash then doing a buy back?

I personally believe the former is more likely and more likely successful for cgt discount capabilities.
