'The well-kept mess in this area. the excess of zeal sometimes shown by the Regulatory Authority for subcontracting in the private sector (ASR"), in addition to political interference, cannot in any way promote the new economic and social class targeted by the law on subcontracting nor ensure the development and sustainability of the mining industry, the backbone of the Congolese economy, indicates Maitre Timothée MBUYX President of JUSTICIA Asbl
According to several Congolese economic operators, you must have political, friendly or family ties in the high echelons of political power to claim subcontracting contracts in the mining sector.
These days, subcontracting is akin to a modern form of slavery to the extent that there are unacceptable differences in treatment between the workers of the main company and those of the subcontractor for whom the end of contract can intervene at any time without substantial compensation. From this point of view, subcontracting appears as a mechanism for enriching the owners of subcontracting companies to the detriment of workers who have no social protection.
C. Difficulties affecting mining companies
Several companies have had trouble, particularly with Congolese authorities and for purely political reasons. These are mining companies in which political figures who are not members of the Sacred Union are suspected of holding stakes in the share capital.
Some companies were suspended and others saw their operating permits withdrawn following strong political pressure allegedly exerted by members of the family of President Félix TSHISEKEDI on the mining administration. Other companies have been shaken because they are suspected of contracting with subcontracting companies allegedly owned by political opponents. Even some company CEOs who resisted these pressures were forced to tiptoe out of the country.
E. The opacity of mining operations: an obstacle to community development
In recent years, although efforts have been made to fight for transparency in the management of revenues from mining companies, other, much more important issues still remain and some bad practices are hard to come by. These include, among other things, the signing of mining contracts and agreements between the Congolese government and its partners without taking into account the populations living near the mining sites or allowing them to directly benefit from the fallout from certain positive negotiations.

F. Insufficient energy and inadequate mineral evacuation routes
The development of the mining industry goes hand in hand with the supply of electrical energy. On this precise point, the DRC is lagging behind unimaginably despite its great hydroelectric potential.
By 2018-2022, the Congolese government intended to continue providing production units with access to electricity for urban and rural populations. To date, apart from the Busanga hydroelectric dam and a few micro-dams built by private parties, the action of the Congolese government to improve electrical energy supply is almost non-existent.
The National Electricity Company, being a shadow of itself, the Inga 2 and Inga 3 projects are still suffering from implementation and the Government seems not to be able to finance and support micro-dam construction projects. which would support the mining sector.

I know it sounds like lets crap on the BoD day but I remember clearly at the shitshow in Sydney where Nigel stated that funds would be looked at every 3 months and savings made where necessary. I cannot see one instance of tightening the belt, IN FACT they had the gall to slide in some bonuses last financial year. I think people would be more understanding of our situation if we believed the BoD was in the trenches eating out of a can of expired baked beans and shitting in a hole like the rest of us. I know Nigel would be working his arse off but its about image, he sat at home for the full covid crisis on full pay ( and I still believe thats where we lost this thing ). Its a bad metric. If Nigel would of taken a small hit somewhere along the way his image would be totally different IMO.
Saying that we still in the fight ( at the moment ) so we back the board to get some resolution out of this.

Its a fact, Nigel said so at 2022 AGM, Covid period was when the dark lords hatched their plan to steal manono, create a negative image to FT that AVZ wasnt capaple of developing ( even tho we achieved 3 technical approvals ) , was derelict in our duties and other bull shit.

Regarding mineral transport, the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer (SNCC) is struggling to resume service. There are almost no locomotives and railway infrastructure suitable for this. The only possibility of transporting ores is by road, which a few Congolese have the machinery in the mines to transport raw materials. In addition, the transport of minerals by truck promotes environmental pollution, several cases of which have already been documented in the provinces of Haut-Katanga and Lualaba.
g. The presence of soldiers without service bulletin on mining sites
Several companies in the region have decried the presence of soldiers from the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC) on their sites despite multiple calls for orders from the Chief of General Staff of the FARDC. By their presence, these encourage the theft of minerals by mining cooperatives which would benefit from the influence of members of the presidential family, in many cases. There are hundreds of trucks filled with ores that leave all day long in full view of the technical services working in the mining sector, to the detriment of the mining operators who observe this predation with complete helplessness even though they have rights to the permit. granted to them by the Congolese government. But in addition, the presence of soldiers on the mines leads to multiple human rights violations which risk calling into question the efforts made by the Congolese government to adhere to the International Initiative on Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. To date, the estimated number of soldiers present on the mining sites of Haut Katanga and Lualaba is between 5,000 and 10,000 men and more than a hundred elements of the Republican Guard.
On April 13, 2019, President Felix TSHISEKEDI held a security council in Lubumbashi during which he strictly prohibited any presence of ineligible military and police officers in the mines. In application of this resolution, the Chief of Staff of the FARDC and even the General Military Auditor had taken circular notes which all remained dead letters, so that to these days, there are still soldiers and elements of the Republican Guard for the surveillance of certain mining sites which belong to individuals with ties to the presidential family.
2. RECOMMENDATIONS
To the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine TSHISEKEDI
To contribute to a better clean-up of the business climate by instructing all the services involved not to engage in influence peddling without reason
To ensure that members of his family are not directly or indirectly involved in mineral trafficking under the cover of illicit artisanal mining.
To ensure that its instructions given for the withdrawal of ineligible soldiers and police officers from mining sites do not suffer from any restriction.
To the Government
To support the ASRP in remaining a technical and special body of the government responsible for promoting subcontracting in the private sector and ensuring that it remains apolitical and that its leaders do not have a conflict of interest.
To take drastic measures to continue to improve the business climate with a view to encouraging serious and major mining investors to develop projects in the DRC
To ensure that all natural or legal persons who invade mining sites granted to third parties can free them and be prosecuted for theft of the

Here’s a few good reasons for the DRC and its Courts to improve the business climate and encourage investors, ICC, ICSID, World Bank, IMF

Reports from several media sources indicated that Zijin Mining in Africa has committed bribery, fraud, threatening journalist with death, human rights violations in Kolwezi, evicting residents in Kolwezi, negligence resulting in death of Guyana workers, performing works without approval of the authorities

So Dave , I know your positive about this and you make good points ( not blowing smoke mate ) but deep down do you honestly think we as shareholders will be successful with any outcome ? I like many others here feel deep down if we get our money back it will be a bonis and I have traded and invested for many years , I got caught with LAF and AED oil , one fighting corruption , the other I have no words for , Sundance I got out in time also lll , I Trust Nigel but I don't trust DRC government and this is where our problems lie . Sorry I have to agree with Dave. Whilst most of the posters on TSE are here looking for and appreciate and share any info they get, there are a few miserable kunts that just continue to complain and be negative.
Almost everyone on here wanted an update with goings on, so when the company gives an update, all they do is complain about what a shit update it was!
Dave has done alot of digging, and has dug up alot of corrupt shit on the hierarchy in the DRC and should be commended in my opinion.
By the way I've DM'ed a couple of the miserable posters on here, and offered to buy their shares at a price agreeable to us both, but guess what, I'm still waiting to hear back from them!
Onwards and upwards for next week and the weeks after!!

Funny thing, FT is less able to use the excuse: "Ich habe est nicht gewuẞt", after being re-elected, if he does he is as thick as a fukkin brick.
