No sign of a big screen in the room, so on that basis do we assume Nigel is there in person?

Old article but interesting, processing SC6 into PLS and using the waste to backfill the mine(s), or use for roadfill.
All roads starting from Manono. ;)

Wesfarmers and rivals charge down the road with lithium

Australia’s emerging lithium hydroxide producers don’t just want people to drive electric cars, they want them to drive on roads made from the waste left behind during processing.
A big headache for the trio of emerging lithium hydroxide processors in Western Australia is what to do with the huge volumes of tailings left behind.

Australia’s lithium hydroxide producers are looking at ways to repurpose the huge volumes of waste left behind in making the key battery material.
They are now working together on plans to reuse what could be well over 1 million tonnes-a-year of benign chemical waste material produced in meeting growing global demand for the key battery ingredient.
Wesfarmers chief executive of chemicals, energy and fertilisers Ian Hansen said the producers believed a material known as delithiated beta spodumene could be repurposed instead of dumped.
“We are working with our fellow lithium hydroxide producers, and various other organisations, because we believe that this material can be used in roads and building products,” he said.
“Rather than have to move it somewhere, we can actually supplement the aggregates industry.”
Wesfarmers, which is investing $1.9 billion in development of its Mt Holland project in partnership with Chile’s Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile, plans to cart the waste from a processing plant at Kwinana, south of Perth, hundreds of kilometres back to the mine.

Maybe Wesfarmers should consider a PLS plant over at Mt Holland.

I was thinking the same thing about topping up & how it would mess up my average.

I don't think we'll see $1 unless NF fails to deliver the ML imminently and let's face it when has that happened before - wait a minute.......🤔

I topped up my trading account & will be bargain hunting tomorrow. I'm looking at IXR & maybe some more MRR?

Johannesburg: assessment of the implementation of the SADC policy on mining issues

1649247691537.png

The city of Johannesburg (South Africa) is hosting this Wednesday, March 30, a two-day forum dedicated to the evaluation of the implementation of the regional policy on mining issues.

This working meeting will bring together officials and various stakeholders from the DRC and other SADC member countries.

The vast majority of countries in the Regional Organization of Southern African Countries (SADC) are mining countries and according to a report by the organization SARW, this sector contributes between 40 and 90% to the national budgets of certain Member States.

But it appears that this abundance of mineral wealth is struggling to promote inclusive development focused on industrialization.

To reverse this trend, a strategic orientation framework was adopted by the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in 2009.

This is the African mining vision.

However, and in the opinion of several experts, the success of this African policy depends on the existence of regional policies on which the efforts made at the national level will be aligned.

This is how the SADC Regional Mining Vision Policy and Action Plan was approved in 2019.

This, in order to optimize the impact of the extraction of mineral resources in the region on sustainable development.

Three years later, it has been noted that its implementation is slow and there is a lack of popularization among the main stakeholders.

This is therefore the whole point of these two-day meetings in Johannesburg.

*Note this Forum / Meeting on "Mining Issues" reported today was a Week ago

What time is it, "African Time" obviously, better late than Never i guess, now where's our Farkin' ML

Can someone remind the DRC / Felix what the core ingredient required in a Battery is again 🔋

And that if you want to be the "Solution Country" like you claim, then
