Right now he could be sitting on a golf course amongst his billions without a care in the world. We here in Australia could do with a Trump at the helm, but instead we’ve inherited a pissant PM who lets a bellicose China have their way with him and his constituents.
2. Do not conflate DT‘s mates with the Corporate Elite and the Military Industrial Complex including Liz Cheney, Elizabeth Warren and co.
3. USA - yes, the USA who saved democracy’s arse over 2 world wars - particularly Europe who continue to freeload off the goodwill of the US taxpayer.

The party’s over and there is now a price to pay if a country is wanting US military and financial assistance.

As far as AVZ is concerned, like with Zelenskyy, beggars can’t be choosers, and there are two choices here: be at China’s mercy or Trump’s. The choice is obvious.

What I am worried about. This all sounds good on paper but trump isn’t a charity. He will ream us if he can and the truth is… he can.

Let’s hope Chinese start being serious. It’s a massive leverage to get a decent deal. But the us involvement is a massive catalyst for exit and reaping value for shareholders.

Interestingly, page 31 of this document shows AVZ's monetary claim:

In its counter, Cominiere asked that the ICC arbiter WITHDRAWS the requests made by the Applicants in paragraphs
488.14 to 488. y 6 of the Statement of Claim seeking an award of damages in the amount of $9,417,500,000.00 USD as unfounded;

$US9,417,500,000.00 USD is approximately $AU15 billion ($AU4.28/share)

I know there are many moving parts to this arbitration, and it still has a way to go, but this is the first time I have seen an official dollar figure put on AVZ's claim.
