If the peace deal is not signed on the 15th and no minerals deal is completed, then AVZ need to continue with the ICSID because this could go on and on. I guess we will know soon enough. Just my opinion

What about the possibility of a mineral for security with DRC and USA being signed without involvement of Rwanda?

I'm waiting on tented hooks for find out what happens later in the week.

I'm pretty sure we won't have everything locked in, and a decision will need to be made re: further ICSID delay or commencement.

I'd love to hear a price though.

I'm willing to negotiate. They can pay more than $12 USD if they want to.

Hi all, due to an ongoing battle with abusers of the community reporting functionality, the ability to report (and auto-moderation) are currently disabled. Unfortunately, since the attack came from quite a number of handles, it became practically impossible to release removed posts from being hidden, as they outpaced my actions.

I have now enabled all posts that had been removed since the beginning of May and will consider turning on the disabled features once I am confident they cannot be gamed again.

It seems that a few of us have got under tendoji's skin. Or is it up his nose?

Use the trolls' trick - ask questions.

Today's best crap.
Courtesy of Cobberoonski:

Yes, the trolls. Aren’t they terrible?

Your deep-dive into AVZ history has not gone unnoticed here & on other forums - it is much-appreciated.

We all remember the “but this is the DRC” crew who banged on about how AVZ would be just another western minnow start-up failure because our blokes didn’t know how to play the Africa game. As you so rightly point out, Nige forged ahead changing the rules of that game - no brown paper bags for us, just a transparent & ethical approach to doing business in Africa, all the while keeping the market well-appraised of company activities.

After taking AVZ from junior explorer to fully-funded miner with license assured…to have satisfied all regulatory requirements only to have our progress stall at the hands of corruption coming from all angles…then further, to beaver away for years & be on the cusp of securing holders a negotiated outcome which will be life-changing for many…

Tendoji, I join you in your salute to Nige & the board for their leadership, determination & street smarts.

Was gonna suggest the same.
They'll be attempting to get in here again, and as it's not locked, they will eventually.

BTW
Hats off to all those involved in cleaning the shit up / out.

Much appreciated

DRC mining week 2025: "The Government would never sign an agreement that rewards the aggression of another nation" (Prime Minister)

15.06.2025
ECONOMY

-

Judith Suminwa Tuluka, Prime Minister

The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo "would never sign an agreement that rewards the aggression of another nation," according to the Prime Minister, at the closing, Friday, June 13, 2025 in Lubumbashi (Haut-Katanga), of the 20th edition of "DRC mining week 2025", according to a statement.

"The Government would never sign an agreement that rewards the aggression of another nation against us. Our commitment is to protect the legitimate interests of the Congolese people, today and for future generations, "said Judith Suminwa Prime Minister, quoted in the statement.

It also took the opportunity to hammer on the inflexible position of the Congolese Government in the face of external pressures.

With regard to the energy transition and local transformation, the Head of the National Executive highlighted the inseparable link between mining and the energy transition, announcing major reforms to strengthen hydroelectric capacities and attract private investors.

"Mining development cannot take done on the sidelines of the energy transition. These two dimensions are essential to meet the needs of our economic growth and support the global decarbonization dynamic. Our subsoil is a strategic lever to build a sustainable and inclusive model," she said.

Judith Suminwa presented the Lobito corridor railway project as a logistical and economic priority, aimed at transforming the DRC into an industrial and mining hub.

“The Lobito Corridor must become a real development corridor, with integrated industrial poles and special economic zones. It will allow better regional integration and will enhance our resources such as copper and cobalt, for the benefit of our populations, "added the Head of Government, while recalling the recent economic advances hailed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Rating Agencies.

"The heart of Greater Congo beats with courage and pride. We will lead this fight until the final victory, "she concluded.

The closing ceremony of the "DRC Mining Week" ended on a note of hope, with the promise of win-win partnerships and more transparent mining governance, at the service of the Congolese people.
