GO AVZ!!!!
For what it's worth I had the most extraordinarily vivid dream last night that an official announcement had come through from AVZ regarding a sale of our Manono interest, a payout to shareholders and finalisation and winding up of the company.

The dream included an absolutely crisp clear colour image of the official announcement resplendent with official lime green lizard logo

So it MUST be happening

Only thing I can't recall was the exact price!!!

Dream or no dream, we commend you for not mentioning the word imminent.

I too had a dream in which I faced a moral dilemma.

Celestin, Felix, and the whole DRC crimal gang were gathered with a group of Zijin executives on a new railway line running throug Manono.

Adjacent them was another side line upon which stood a lone artisanal miner now evicted from his livlihood.

A nearby junction connected both tracks and was set to direct traffic down the main line. Less than a hundred metres beyond the junction was a silent electric locomotive. All parties were unaware of the imminent danger.

I had to choose and there wasn't a moment to spare. I like to think I'm a decent person, so there really was only one thing to do.

and sent the locomotive into action.

I can’t figure out why they even bothered at that price

That dumb bitch that works for them that was on that Von Batten conference call last year was so sure it was done

Offering less than the yearly divvy we should have been getting and then running around telling everyone you have it before acceptance is literally the most idiotic thing I have ever seen in negotiations

There was a lot of talk that the offer was comprised of cash up front plus ongoing royalties. I would like confirmation on whether or not the US$250M was just the up front cash portion of their offer, and what the terms were on the royalties.

I do not believe KoBold to be as bad as others here judge them to be. In my view they have not yet breached their public claims of anti corruption, though perhaps they've stretched the 'honesty' claim a little. I believe we should have been a party at the table during discussions between KoBold and the DRC, but perhaps this was not possible or was not the best strategy to obtaining agreement from the DRC. In any case they have not progressed development of the south and appear to be waiting until our dispute with the DRC is settled.

If KoBold are to do business in DRC they can't avoid dealing with the crooks who robbed us, and until our final award is made the crooks are not yet officially crooks. Hence our ICSID suspension while trying to achieve an acceptable outcome.

KoBold's future actions may alter my view of their character. Until then I will withhold judgement. But I'm tired of waiting for a suitable offer. I want to brand the DRC government as the criminals they truly are. I want our ICSID award, and I want to see KoBold's next move after that.

Maybe Kobold should stop pissing about . Find themselves a JV and pay AVZ the appropriate $$$$ .

KoBold (or any other company) could not simply "take over" via the DRC alone without risking conflict with the ICSID award and AVZ's rights. Any practical takeover, development, or acquisition of the project (or AVZ's stake) would require a voluntary commercial agreement with AVZ—e.g., buying shares in Dathcom, a joint venture, or asset transfer. This would inherently involve compensating AVZ (as contemplated in the existing framework).
It would put AVZ in a much stronger bargaining position, making compensation a commercial necessity for KoBold (or any other company ) to move forward cleanly and avoid further legal risk.

Is the , "bleed us dry " tactic still in play here ?

The Yanks are going to need to bring the hammer down on Kibeya at some point . I don't think this c--t has any intention of letting anyone other than the Chinese get there hands on Roche Dure . IMO

Nigel didn't put us in a hole, he plugged a hole. By suspending trade when things went bad he and the board prevented a rapid sell off that would have sunk our company.

Nigel bound the board's fate to that of all share holders giving regular people outside the inner circle a chance of receiving a return on our investment someday.

Thanks Nigel. Well done.
