BRN Discussion Ongoing

Seans spoken for himself.

Thanks for the response Dio.

There’s probably nothing to discuss; Sean said it himself, and made a point in doing so, in fact, it’s how he closed out his speech during the last AGM.

“I am highly confident the commercialisation results will come in a steady sustainable fashion.
Even with all this commercialisation last five months, the company and myself should not be judged on effort, but results, with that said I look forward to standing before you next year to share all our progress and results from this next critical chapter of Brainchips journey.”

There’s either results by May, or there isn’t.
So nothing's changed since the last AGM?

All I can say is, these fucking Tesla's, his tech is clearly not working as it should, he needs to pull his head out of his ass, swallow is pride and embrace the future of safe and sound autonomous automation that has a "I'm a high toned son of a bitch" sticker on the bumper bar and has a Akida inside sticker on the bonnet. And maybe we can just make this place a little more safer.

So nothing's changed since the last AGM?
Well, we havent signed any more customers, and revenue is non-existant. Plus we already have posters making excuses stating they wouldn’t expect much from the upcoming 4c.

So in terms of commercialisation… no, not much has happened in my opinion.

No I‘m not nailing the coffin lid down just yet, we have five months before the next AGM to bring a new customer or two, some decent revenue, or an exciting update about the EAP. But partnerships announced on LinkedIn won’t cut the mustard, and neither will the announcement of AKD2000, which was planned for 2023 long before SH joined the company.

Continually moving the goalposts does nothing but justify the building shorts. We are almost three years into our commercial journey, and we need to start seeing results. Sean knows and expected this, which is why he made such an incredibly bold (and I thought this at the time) public statement. If Akida is what we all believe it is (and I still do, evident by my growing portfolio), then sales should be happening.

Edit: Having just reread this post I don’t believe it’s fair to say nothing has happened in terms of commercialisation, I should have said that nothing has been delivered yet. I’m sure plenty is going on behind the scenes, but we need to see some commitment.

Soundhound (SOUN)....not a stock recommendation but right up Brainchip's alley

Voice assistants

Look at the total addressable market (TAM) and orders backlog for just one company. Clients include Mercedes.

From yahoo

SoundHound AI (SOUN)

The first AI stock we're looking at is SoundHound AI, a voice assisting specialist. Via speech, its voice AI platform enables consumers to interact with products. This is not some esoteric segment of the market we’re talking about. The company sees a huge TAM (total addressable market) of $160 billion ahead; by 2024, there are expected to be 8 billion voice assistants in use with 75 billion connected devices operating worldwide the following year. SoundHound has some big-name clients on its roster such as Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Deutsche Telekom, Snap, Stellantis and Vizio.

SoundHound only became a public entity this year, entering the market via the SPAC route back in April. It has been a trial by fire, to say the least. The shares are down by 88% since the debut as SPACs went seriously out of favor in 2022’s bear.

Nevertheless, despite worries about the company being able to withstand the tough macro conditions amidst continued losses, it has been posting some impressive growth. In Q3, revenue climbed by 178% YoY to $11.2 million. The company saw a cumulative bookings backlog of $302 million, amounting to a 239% YoY increase - representing a fourth consecutive quarter of triple-digit growth and a company record.

In November, the company introduced a new product called Dynamic Interaction, a conversational AI tool that enables businesses to use voice AI technology when servicing customers.

Cantor’s Brett Knoblauch thinks it could be a “game-changing technology as it pertains to how humans interact with computers, and more broadly speaking, technology.”

“We believe there are numerous use-cases that this technology could be utilized for, with low-hanging fruit being within customer-service settings like restaurants,” the analyst went on to add. “We believe this product 1) further expands upon SOUN's conversational AI advantage; 2) gives us greater visibility into SOUN's revenue trajectory; 3) will accelerate the mix-shift of revenue towards subscription revenue; and 4) expands SOUN's addressable market.”

Conveying his confidence, Knoblauch rates SOUN as Overweight (i.e., Buy) and backs it up with a $1.60 price target, implying shares will move ~32% higher over the one-year timeframe. (To watch Knoblauch’s track record, click here)

Knoblauch, while bullish on the stock, is somewhat conservative compared to the general Wall Street view here. The average price target is higher than Alexanders, at $3.70, implying a strong upside potential of ~206% from the $1.21 share price. Unsurprisingly, SOUN has a Strong Buy analyst consensus rating, based on a unanimous 3 Buys. (See SOUN stock forecast)

Sean Hehir...."...the company and myself should not be judged on effort, but results, with that said I look forward to standing before you next year to share all our progress and results from this next critical chapter of Brainchips journey.”

Robsmark...."There’s either results by May, or there isn’t."

My thoughts,....

1) "effort" to me is soft feel good stuff like, "we're visiting with X amount of companies" or "we have many meetings..." or " we have received favorable feedback" blah, blah, blah.

2) "progress and results" to me go together so that Sean can say positive results are happening due to positive progress. I know,....tastes great but less filling (think Miller Lite), right? What we're all looking for is a hearty amber ale served in May instead.

But look at the increasing circle of engagement with or involving Brainchip. These are postive results in my opinion. My gosh the ARM and Intel announcements alone are huge results. We should probably be paying Edge Impulse just for their public relations efforts alone on behalf of Brainchip.

And I had to blink a few times when I first read about some small company called VVDN and a "whoa" escaped my lips once I looked into them. And it goes on and on with too much we are all familiar with.

But here's the thing with a sales driven organization. You have got to have stuff in the tunnel, or pipeline. Lots of stuff. It is not what have you done for me recently, but what are you going to show me or do for me tomorrow. In this respect I believe Brainchip, and as a result Sean Hehir, have hit the proverbial home run in 2022. And if I were at the AGM in May I would give him and the team a standing O.

3) "next critical chapter of Brainchip's journey " Now I am really jacked up to hear him describe what in the heck a critical chapter in their journey is.
What could be more critical than profitability? The Brainchip story has been a great read so far but the critical chapter cannot come soon enough for me. dippY

Kinda of reminds back when Rob Telson did a podcast and mentioned they can have something around livestock neck to monitor health, but were not concentrating on that as they were going for where the money is.

EDIT.. Actually don't think it was a podcast because I recall video of him perhaps setup at his home.

Voice assistant. Brainchip and Soundhound both list Mercedes and other auto companies as a client . In the world focusing on security and privacy (avoid the cloud) and low latency and power savings non automotive voice assistants/recognition appear to be prime targets for Akida technology.

Or do you think that could be a stretch......remember ubiquitous.

I'm sorry, but I don't even know if we already had the following article here, but whatever.... ;-)

The Future of Transportation Is Being Built on Arm

Automotive innovation built on Arm

These automotive innovations are happening today because of Arm, a transformative British technology company that, until recently, has been one of the world’s best-kept technology secrets.

Arm microprocessor chip architecture represents the world’s largest computational footprint. Arm technology underpinned the smartphone revolution, and it is ubiquitous in IoT, embedded, mobile and automotive applications and the world’s global computing infrastructure. Its global ecosystem of more than 1,000 technology partners ships 30 billion Arm-based chips each year.

Since its founding in 1990, Arm has supported automotive designers with technology products and solutions, scaling over time to give vehicle engineers and developers unparalleled flexibility and choice in building their products. Arm’s vast footprint means that:

  • Every 50 seconds, an Arm-based processor is installed in a car.
  • The top 15 vehicle makers license Arm intellectual property (IP).
  • More than 85% of infotainment systems and more than 50% of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are based on Arm technology.

we have already written about Soundhound here and I already have a contact that works at Soundhound and he's also with Rob Telson.
There is definitely a connection.
Their customers are really very exciting. 👍

Mercedes-Benz

The new MBUX system is the premier intelligent multimedia interface for Mercedes-Benz cars. SoundHound extends the MBUX voice experience beyond in-car functionality and into the cloud — allowing you to search for restaurants, businesses, sports scores, stock quotes, and more just by asking.

Hyundai

SoundHound’s Edge+Cloud voice AI technology, music recognition software, voice commerce solution, and multiple-language conversational intelligence will be included in a broad range of Hyundai vehicle models globally over the next several years.

Qualcomm

Qualcomm has enabled our advanced voice AI technology into select Snapdragon platforms, giving app developers and device manufacturers the ability to quickly and easily implement enhanced conversational voice experiences and build voice interfaces that can detect voice queries in noisy environments and when a device is already transmitting other sounds.

Its completey disgusting and unfair that BTC's price is not at $200,000 now. Who cares that it got 300% percent more adoption and users last year. Dont blame the Russia war in Ukraine, Inflation, sky high debt and international tensions. Im stamping my feet and Im going to the BTC CEO's office and im going to tell him to perform better, shame on him...
