A Nasdaq listing would be a death sentence at our size, genuinely the last announcement I want to see. We could hit multiple times our current MC on the ASX if we can demonstrate some sales.
Just maybe, this and the next 4C may show us explosive sales & revenues hitting the right spot and thus in turn escalating us to new commercialisation directions and development pathways.

I love this but if this was likely would they have needed the extra funds to produce the chip and add more sales staff???

I am not ruling out income as such but huge explosive income I think does not make sense.

Yesterday there was discussion regarding the chip that further funding via the LDA Capital call is required for and I was certain that it was the AKD2000 or ACE chip because of the consistent narrative from Brainchip going back to the last Pitt Street Research interview that Peter van der Made did end 2021 as Acting CEO before Sean Hehir took up the position.

The more I have thought about the need for additional funding against the narrative and communications with the CFO Ken Scarince at the time of the June quarter 2022 4C the more I have come to the idea as suggested by I think at least two other posters that there has been some change.

What that change might be is difficult to tell.

At the AGM the CEO Sean Hehir talked about the release of the AKD2000/ACE IP and the possibility of producing a reference chip to demonstrate the IP.

The language on its face has changed and the need for extra funding is potentially out of kilter with the previous narrative.

It could be a number of things even an expected order for volume production of a chip not based on the AKD2000/ACE IP. Someone suggested AKD1500.

The AKD2000/ACE IP with transformers and LSTM would meet lots of market requirements but in particular automotive.

In this market sector the trend is for automotive makers to develop their own chips and this is most certainly the published approach by Mercedes Benz so all they would want is the IP.

Anyway I am now no longer certain primarily because the need for extra funding in my mind points to some sort of change???

Just realised I left this out. There have been comments by Peter van der Made and Anil Mankar about much smaller chips 4nm and 5nm which as we know are considerably more expensive. Could it be that a customer say an Accenture wants to see the current AKIDA 1.0 the beast the science fiction reduced from 28 nm to 5nm??? This would need more funding??? Too many possible ideas to be certain. Maybe the podcast will give us a clue.

Not sure if this supports any of your theories but I contacted Ken some time ago to enquire about the treasury management as there’s a large cash balance with no interest revenue being disclosed so the only assumption you can make is that the funds sent in a interest bearing account. His response was that they believe their treasury management was adequate so I’m assuming the reason is that they need the funds in the short term or need to access them at a moments notice.

This article is sponsored by Syntiant but Akida could obviously do it as well; better!

It’s about EV battery management and a growing market!

I’m excited by this new Podcast.

I’ve been reviewing Accenture’s web page and they are a MASSIVE company.

Just look at their partners page for starters: https://www.accenture.com/au-en/services/technology/ecosystem

I can’t see any reason why anyone from Accenture would talk to a small Australian start up unless they saw value in doing so. Regardless of the friendship between Sean and Jean-Luc Chatelain. Sean was hired because of his many years in the industry, experience and Rolodex of connections from SVEN. He’s going to know a lot within that circle. Being a Fortune 500 company why wouldn’t our CEO get involved. I can’t wait to hear from him!

Accenture provides AI services so they would be very interested in Brainchip and how Brainchip can benefit them and their customers.
I think it‘s a given Accenture will be using their vast resources to try and get a competitive advantage over their competition and that bodes very well for us!

I couldn’t believe all the disparaging talk about RT today. Who do we think is delivering with all of these great partnerships: Easter Bunny?

RT is very experienced and IP sales is his area of expertise!

Not being in the IP contract field I can only imagine how intricate the negotiations would be. Of course every company will be trying to get Akida for as little as possible and RT has to negotiate a deal acceptable for both parties. As a start up haggling with some of the larger corporations I imagine it has been very difficult for him, introducing a new, initially untested product with science fiction qualities. Luckily once he can convince them of the products capabilities it can speak for itself but I’m sure it’s not been easy!

I’m not a fan of the super-hero question either. But I get RT wants to be fun, approachable, humble and trustworthy. Everyone has a super-hero of some description so the question is a great leveller and even though it’s at the end of his talk it gives them an opportunity to have a not so serious laugh at themselves and if they’re smart to Segway or link their super-hero into their product or brand!

Like most things in life trust and relationships are important so I hope RT stays in his position for as long as he wants so when a large corporation rings Brainchip (24/7) they get a known and trusted voice. I also hope they keep employing more sales staff because that’s the only way we are going to make sales; with sales staff! To be looking for two positions in Japan is again very exciting. There’s obviously growing interest in that region so we need to capitalise on it!

The daily SP fluctiations are of little interest to me. I could be wrong but I’m sure I can see a finish line in several years time when Brainchips business is mature, ubiquitous and the SP is many multiples of what it is now. I’m enjoying watching the business grow regardless of the SP.
When I say finish line; that for me is when I can sell enough to retire on…. and watch the rest grow and live off the dividends. I think this company could keep growing for at least the next decade. I will only sell my shares if I see something wrong with the fundamentals of the company: not the SP!

I appreciate the SP may be of interest to others if you have a short term outlook, so I get why that could be stressful if you have a deadline. Of course I would love a breakout vertical price jump which would then stabilise. We all know by now that will only happen when consistent revenue kicks in; and I’m very confident that it will. And it will come in from multiple sources. It’ll be like the banker in Monopoly collecting the cash every time a player (company) lands on Mayfair loaded with hotels! It will just take time. I’m very comfortable watching this exciting company grow.

Be kind, and enjoy this exciting ride, I am!

:)
fantastic post mate, well done.

One might speculate that Mercedes Benz is ahead of the curve here saying ‘neuromorphic computing ( meaning AKIDA) when deployed at scale’.

Who know's what's actually happening behind Co doors ........... I saw a program on SBS TV in Sydney this morning called " Peer to Peer " it was a discussion with the CEO of Accenture ....... one of the largest Co's in the USA. Just think what just that business association could mean to BRN alone.
IMO ..... Explosive income is such a subjective view point based upon an individuals own personal perceptions.

BRN still had funding for approx 4 qtrs.
The only conclusion I reach is BRN has a new obligation to a new or existing client.
As you said it may be for mass production of a new chip, whatever the chip spec is not important. The fact that the call was made is important and leads to two possible scenarios.
1. If BRN didn't need the money for new client obligations then why would they place the call knowing they have sufficient runway to the end of 2023. By placing the call so early without needing the funds would only see the sp dive. It is highly improbable this is the reason for the call.
2. BRN has a contractual obligation to supply chips to a client and need the funds for production.

My guess is MERC has expanded its use of Akida and are possibly aiming to release the tech earlier then 2025 in the EQXX.

If BRN's production slot with TSCM still exists, I think it will be used very soon.

Either way, A change is gonna come.

I didn't think we 'mass produced' chips anymore? "We are not a chip company we are an IP company" (Sean Hehir AGM May 2022)

I know that, but if MERC stayed with the Akida chip rather than using Akida IP, I'm sure BRN would oblige.

This is terrible and my sincere condolences' to the family. There is nothing worse for a family than seeing a child battle a serious health issue. I know from experience.

In saying that, this a stock forum. By definition this is a place for people to express their opinions on the stock of a company that they own. People are able to express their disappointment when their stock prices go down. They are not terrible people for doing so. They are allowed to be both disappointed at their capital being reduced and can still have empathy for others. They shouldn't be made to feel inadequate for posting their opinion on the company and the share price value.
Why are you advocating so strongly for people to be able to express disappointment?

It has been demonstrated over and over again that the disappointment is unnecessary. Todays share price doesn’t matter unless you are selling today and who would, considering all the foundations that have been set for this company to become a leading success in a multi billion dollar market?

Either people aren’t reading the valuable content shared here and simply post their lazy, impatient whinges for quick and easy reassurance (annoying)
Or they’re paid downrampers. We all know this is a thing and why should we have to scroll through it. The whole reason this site was created was to get away from it. If we allow it, then what distinguishes us from HC? Why have a separate site at all?

We need to stop bashing every one who has a different opinion though.
It's cringy and embarrassing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as long as they are not bashing the company and management, which was happening at HC.

But genuine concerns shouldn't be discouraged, otherwise it'd be an echo chamber. People literally have their savings on the line, while my motto is don't put more than you can afford to lose, to say that share holders shouldn't voice their opinions isn't something I agree with.

Downrampers need to dealt with, no doubt.
But just because someone says he's concerned about recent market action isn't a solid base to prove he's a downramper. We all go through such stages of psychological roller coaster. Someone who has been investing for 20 years would take it a bit better than someone who started investing 2 years ago.

This is a forum and there'll be different opinions. Ignore function is handy which I recommend to anyone who doesn't want to hear a particular poster's opinion.

My first parcel was .40 cents then followed with 50c,60,70, up to $1.50 now my average is 87cents but I did not regret buying this stock it's my decision if I want to blame someone it would be myself only. Brn team did not ask anybody here to invest to them. Some here are like kids where if it didn't go there way they throw a tantrums to BRN team. Which is wrong! I'm very happy of investing with BRN coz in 3 to 5years I can say I'm a millionaire 😆😆😆

We are required under the option agreement to seek the funding anyway before the end of 2023 if I remember correctly. So its a case of sooner rather than later. And as previously observed, KS has proven adept at timing the calls when it best suits the company........

If the pending chip run is a major supply order rather than a "proof of concept" for a new version, it stands to reason that the client would be required to stump up a sizable deposit, big enough to cover our initial costs of production. And consider this. If we have received an order for a major supply of chips there would certainly be a substantial $ figure attached to it, which would necessitate an ASX release - which we haven't seen. Additionally, if its for large scale production of our commercial product (at this stage only AKIDA 1000) why do we need to go through pre-production processes? To me these things seems to put to rest the idea that the funding is for a major production run.

I think there is a clue about the nature of the chip to be produced in the statement that we will also be releasing a substantial upgrade to our IP at, or near, the same time. All this convinces me its AKIDA 2000 (or whatever its going to be called) they're alluding to in the statement about the option call.

Remember, these are my own thought bubbles, not fact or advice.
