BRN Discussion Ongoing

Always tricky especially in this market. Every company is firing staff and cutting costs.
Won't be easy to get the dotted line signed so quick.

On contrary, BRN is hiring staff.
We have until May to see the performance and then can ask questions to Sean directly at the AGM. Pretty sure they'll be expecting it too.
Just so long as the hiring of sales staff isn't a 'Hail Mary' from the company because the current staff have failed to get results.

I’m sick of hearing my own voice at this stage, and can see I’m ruffling feathers so I think I need to stop posting for a while.

I’ll be the first to congratulate the team if something positive is announced.

Cheers,
Mark
My DM is always open mate feel free to unload there if it helps.
That goes for anyone here also.

I see the potential here otherwise I’d have sold, but many (tech) companies have done very well despite poor global economics.

I’m just saying I and other expected more, and if we don’t want to crash and burn, we need to start seeing some revenue. We aren’t government funded R&D, we’re a publicly funded company and the expectation at this stage is commercial interest, revenue, and a ROI.

This is they the SP is dropping and this is why shorts are raising.

Show me some contracts!
You're not alone here mate - we need to see contracts and revenue. No money, no company...simple. Revenue needs to cover expenses, including new hires, and soon.

Move on, nothing to see.
Hi Chippers, in the context of the confirmation that a new chip(Akida2000) will be taped-out this year and FF’s highlighting that the known new features will include LSTM(long short term memory) and transistors please access the article mentioned in this tweet by Edge Impulse last night. It highlights the direction neural networks are going to include both LSTM and transistors which increase speed and efficiency compared to existing CNN’s. The article is written by an employee of Synopsis but I’ve taken as a good example of how we remain a step ahead of the competition. View attachment 26751
I also thought this tweet looked promising when I first saw it, but in the referenced article they state that transformers are superior to LSTM. And they go on to give an example of visual processing where the parallel processing of distant pixels, gives transformers another advantage.

I did not see that article as supporting BrainChip’s LSTM aspirations.

From the referenced article:
”Unlike RNNs and LSTMs that must read a string of text sequentially, transformers are significantly more parallelizable and can read in a complete sequence of words at once, allowing them to better learn contextual relationships between words in a text string.”

When the asx rises almost 1% and your stock closes on its low for the day (in the red), not to mention that it has dropped almost 20% in a week, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be a bit concerned.

Re: CEOs performance
Let’s not forget what he said in the last quarterly:
“In the coming quarter, the Company will focus on key sales targets and converting technical evaluations into paid licenses.”

Am hopeful that a paid license or two is imminent otherwise his performance does need to be questioned.

Just my opinion.

Hi Sly,

I bow to your greater technical understanding of the article but I thought transformers were a feature of Akida2000 as well.

Hopefully someone can clarify??

Are you sure @Fact Finder is not ChatGPT?

After all where else would find such encyclopedic recall and analysis?

I think people need to stand back and look at where we are at, what we're doing, what the Company is trying to accomplish and totally disregard the share price.

I have a reasonable chunk of shares, but I feel extremely underweight.

I see the current share price as an opportunity and I'm working towards increasing my share holding substantially.

If you're grumbling, obviously you must feel you have enough, have no intention to buy more, or feel you have enough capital at "risk".

I have complete faith in the BrainChip team delivering to all shareholders in the future.

The more of a "share" in the Company you have, the more you and your Family (whatever that is to you) will have in the future.

The "price" you pay for that "share" is immaterial at this stage.

LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE.

Obviously not financial advice and just my views.

There is no Life without Risk.

Great find generously shared.

To assist I will add the following extract which makes clear that Accenture have most likely been testing either Loihi 2 or AKIDA technology as referenced at page 6:

“Some people approximate derivatives of spikes in order to use backpropagation (like SynSense) and some use another technique called spike timing dependent plasticity (STDP), which is closer to how biological brains function. STDP, however, is less mature as a technology (BrainChip uses this method for one–shot learning at the edge)”

We know that SynSense has been working with BMW and Prophesee but as this extract from an article promoted by SynSense on its website makes clear it does not use STDP.

It also confirms what we know that Brainchip uses STDP but what it does not mention is that Brainchip owns the IP for the STDP based JAST Learning Rules which they converted from a license to full ownership in the first half of 2023 under the leadership of the CEO Sean Hehir. Some think this was a stroke of commercial brilliance.

What some might not know is that when Peter van der Made bought the original license CERCO had been discussing terms with Intel and Peter van der Made slipped in underneath and walked away with the prize.

So while Mike Davies and Intel use a form of STDP they are at a significant disadvantage absent the right to use the JAST Learning Rules.

If the vehicle manufacturer is Honda we know Valeo is involved so Brainchip has feet on the ground so to speak.

If Mercedes Benz is the vehicle manufacturer it cannot be anyone else unless this testing by Accenture was about year or so before the CES 2022 EQXX reveal when Intel was still working with Mercedes Benz before they switched to Brainchip.

The Accenture Brainchip podcast is going to be very interesting.

My opinion only DYOR
