Different people from different backgrounds with different interests providing their viewpoints is healthy debate and more likely to throw up and perhaps even generate new knowledge.
That this may involve others having a different view from you, I or even a majority should not be seen as threatening or even as a negative.
Rather, I see it as adding depth to our discussion.
This, the BRN DISCUSSION ONGOING thread is from what I can see the General Thread for all things BRN and so should have the broadest reach and be the least proscribed and restricted.
Mere polite criticism should be able to be discussed and tolerated as part of this discussion ongoing as a relevant concern to an investor and should be able to be argued politely by those who wish to prosecute a view either way.
If some find others viewpoints disturbing I understand they have a right to report them, as I have done on a couple of occasions when new posters launched blatantly obvious attacks or invoked vile accusations towards other posters here, or on the company or its officers.
However, I hope and trust that the mechanism is not too sensitively triggered and has enough intelligence built in to it to also monitor the reporters so its power is not pervertedly used to persecute upon the mere whim of the aggrieved.
One would hope a reasonable threshold has to be reached before action is taken and if any singular or small group of repeat reporters becomes evident this then is made known to the larger group.
I don't think any version of a Star Chamber or other fascist paraphernalia is welcome to the majority here.

Speaking of smart cameras.

In March, Plumerai worked with Renesas to run Plumerai People Detection on the Arm Cortex-M85 processor.

By sheer co-incidence, in March, BrainChip validated it incorporation with Arm Cortex-M85 Processor.

This blog below states "The Plumerai People Detection runs with an incredible 13 fps on the Renesas Helium-enabled Arm Cortex-M85, greatly outperforming any other MCU solution. It speeds up the processing of Plumerai People Detection by roughly 4x compared to an Arm Cortex-M7 at the same frequency. People need to stop giving.out unsolicited financial advice on an anonymous stock forum. It is ILLEGAL.

@BaconLover is entitled to state facts about what has gone wrong to date just as he posts positive facts at times. Others here are allowed to post pure speculation on BRNs future share price or positive dot joining. There is room for both. That's what a forum is for. Discussion regarding positive and negative.

BRN is like our footy team. We want them to win and can cheer for them but we are allowed to criticise when they aren't performing to expectations.

It’s borderline sickening how this place can be at times. Some people need to explore outside of the echo chamber.

Rooting for BRN, but a lot of posters that were criticised this weekend for venting frustration haven’t deserved it.

I did a quick search through previous chat on filed for approval patents by BRN. This post from Tech in Oct 2022 suggests BRN has 19 patents filed.
My recall since from around this time last year (maybe earlier) that BRN had 25 patents approx submitted for review / approval by patent offices in multi countries.

Three questions linked to the above

1) What is the standard timeframe for review of each patent before approval is granted? And are they having any trouble getting key patents approved?

2) How many new patents since say January 2023 have been been submitted for approval?

3) How is the wall of defence going for BRN linked to the above so other companies can’t or have limited success in penetrating BRN’s wall of approved patents (not current submitted patents for approval that may be challenged by other tech companies)

Maybe these questions are better suited for the upcoming AGM in May 2023.

Happy for anyone to reply though who may have had recent conversations with Tony Dawe or others in BRN management via email or may have been sitting in or lurking around the BRN corporate spas in Perth or US

If we put things into perspective, I consider that we're tracking along quite nicely. I'm going to use MegaChips latest Corporation Briefing FY2022 Q3 (year ending March 2023) as an example.

The first slide shows the MegaChips mid to long-term plan which stretches to 2025 by which time business is "in full swing". Starting and growing any new business is time consuming. The commercialisation process alone involves a series of steps including research, assessment, patenting, prospecting, licensing, ect.

Excluding disclaimers, this presentation totals 15 pages. The last page of the presentation is devoted to the strategic partnership with BrainChip and Quadric.

I do recall those but it doesn’t generally answer the questions I have raised. I see FF, Dio and others are reading posts but not replying which is fine as it’s my understanding they are taking a holiday

Industry Validation
Microprocessor Report's Bryon Moyer completed a thorough evaluation of Recogni's solution and reached the conclusion that, "As the industry moves to greater resolution, Recogni is well positioned, whereas other SoCs will need an upgrade." The report also notes that competing SoCs are likely to be that upgrade, but it's "two to three years behind Recogni's first chip."
The report details Recogni's product superiority in terms of supporting high-resolution cameras at high frame rates, support for red/clear/clear/blue (RCCB) image sensors, the approach of minimizing preprocessing before inference, compression algorithms to reduce the required on-chip memory and the product's self-managing capabilities.
Moyer recognized that "no other stand-alone automotive AI accelerator uses high-resolution cameras and processes each full frame (rather than targeting regions of interest. More common are SoCs that handle inference as one of those many functions." This is one of the biggest differentiators and advantages of the Recogni solution.

Hi @jtardif999, my point was that I think our IP may be in a Renesas chip this year, via Arm® Cortex®-M85 processor, potentially in the Renesas R-Car V4H SoC, which means it would eventually be incorporated with Recogni's product.

You are confusing the AKD1000 chip with the Akida 1000 architecture (the IP). The chip is mostly being sold to EAPs for prototyping their designs. Our Akida 1000 IP has always been a sales objective and will continue to be. On the other hand the AKD1500 is being sold to the customers driving its design - as a chip. The AKD1500 is based on the Akida 1000 architecture with some further modifications such as removing the ARM preprocessor. The Akida 2000 architecture (like Akida 1000) will have an associated reference chip created (by the 3rd quarter this year?). The Akida 1000 and Akida 2000 architectures will be our IP sales objectives going forward. This is summed up in the description of the 3 types of IP going forward for basic, advanced and highly complex use cases. Akida 1000 is still as important as it ever was in the basic and advanced use cases. Sean is talking about the AKD1000 reference chip in the presentation, not the architecture. AIMO.

Hello I can unfortunately not very often here in the forum look past do it but always very happy.

But now I am very surprised that some people here get sweaty hands.

I think it would do some people here good to take a break to get the head free and to deal with other things than Brainchip. This is really serious advice from me. Comes so promises from my heart.

A little thought when it comes to the stock market. First comes the pain then comes the money. But you can save yourself a lot of pain if you sit back and don't have your ear everywhere all the time. Listen to music read a book go running or swimming. And in January 2024 look carefully what is going on at Brainchip. You will see your life will be calmer and more relaxed.

I hope I step nobody on the feet.

Although I am still positive about Brainchip, if you look at the share price prediction posts from 2015 - 2022... I am very worried but still hopeful... lol

Hopefully we will soon know whether this ship will sink to near 0 like before (not get adopted) or sail to moon (becomes industry standard)...

I can't stress this enough but being best solution doesn't mean it will be chosen... but luckily our management has joined multiple eco systems and formed partnerships and we r ready to shoot to the moon, hopefully it will be followed by multiple IP contracts & revenue... if it gets further delayed other inferior tech by bigger company might get adopted and I will be saaaaaddddddd like when I realised BrainStudio was a failure after all those promises vanished...
