BRN Discussion Ongoing

Suggestion.

Maybe before releasing anything BRN should send TSE a copy first as a pre release so we can vet and approve :ROFLMAO:

Bravo

If ARM was an arm, BRN would be its biceps💪!
Now here is something we could get involved in (if we aren't already that is) and potentially some receive funding for. The project should be worth nearly $50 million through 2027.

Air Force researchers approach industry for network control and waveform generation in cognitive radio

Oct. 3, 2023

Air Force wants new techniques that enable RF and microwaves that autonomously find open radio frequencies and choose the most efficient RF waveforms.

Cognitive Radio 3 Oct 2023

ROME, N.Y. – U.S. Air Force researchers are asking industry for new ways to design cognitive radio waveform generation and network control to enable RF communications that are fast, efficient, and able to adapt to environmental conditions.
Officials of the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate in Rome, N.Y., issued a broad agency announcement last week (FA8750-22-S-7006) for the Adaptive Waveform Generation for Extreme RF (AWGER) project.

The four-year program seeks new kinds of cognitive radio techniques that enable wireless communications that autonomously find open radio frequencies and choose the most efficient RF waveform to avoid interference, achieve necessary range, and send data quickly.
Cognitive radio describes an RF transceiver that intelligently can detect which communication channels are in use, which ones are not, and instantly move into vacant channels. The same principles could apply to radar, electronic warfare (EW) and other RF and microwave applications.

The AWGER program aims at effective design tradeoffs between RF spectral efficiency, linearity, and power efficiency. One of the major issues in cognitive radio is obtaining an adaptive transmitting waveform based on environmental measurements.
The Air Force Research Laboratory is soliciting white papers that describe technologies for cognitive waveform generation; machine learning or other cognitive techniques for building waveforms from fundamental digital processing blocks; adjusting to waveforms based on varying RF environments and interference; simulate RF environments and physical layers for waveform evaluation; and resiliency to adversarial attacks.

The project also explores new kinds of RF network control through network throughput analysis and control within varying RF environments; coordinating and handshaking of physical layer changes between nodes in a network; and network layer simulation and network control evaluation.

Finally, the AWGER project seeks to create a unified scenario evaluation environment with over-the-air demonstrations consisting of virtual nodes from emulation and physical nodes; and integrated demonstration of network control and waveform generation. The AWGER project should be worth nearly $50 million through 2027, split among several different contractors.

Companies interested should email white papers to the Air Force's Gerald Wohlrab by 4 Nov. 2022 at gerard.wohlrab@us.af.mil. The Air Force will accept white papers until 30 Sept. 2027.
Email technical questions or concerns to the Air Force's Gerald Wohlrab by 4 Nov. 2022 at gerard.wohlrab@us.af.mil, and business questions to Amber Buckley at Amber.Buckley@us.af.mil.

Just a comment on the state of play.

The evolution of flight i.e. Wright Bros "The Flyer" to 100 years on, SOTA, Space X "Falcon Heavy"
The exponential evolutionary growth of BRN has only taken 10 years, from the idea of Peter and with the help of the very talented team of brilliant individuals at Brainchip to becoming at present the front runner of the most mind blowing, super efficient, SNN computation that has ever been put to silicon.
Now with the ever increasing collaborations and partnerships, with some of the most visionary company's in the world that have come on board the BRN bus, CES 24 is looking at being our most defining moment in the history of the company.

With so much talent in the ever increasing ecosystem of partners the Singularity (AGi) may be just around the corner.

Deadpool:

I truly hope so on all of those fronts, ( surely, something will bite, soon ) ?

Akida Ballista >>>>> Give me a break, you buggers, take my bait will you <<<<<

Patience brothers, loving all the new news that's appearing, WOW, looking hopefull .....🤞👌

So your banking on the companies where supposibly involved with dropping the Akida name @ CES 2024, OK

A reaction/post ratio of 3:1 is so very telling

As has been the case since CES2022 since the unexpected mention of us by Mercedes there is a lot of talk about what this year's CES will bring.

We know that anything is possible, so fingers crossed.

What has impressed me the most is the hype portrayed by the company itself. Very strong language being used and loving the term bleeding-edge.

BrainChip at CES 2024

BrainChip is distinguished by its bleeding-edge, brain-inspired neuromorphic AI technology

I am not expecting anything 'huge' to come out of the CES.
I am expecting however that it will be increasingly obvious that some of our bigger partners eg Tata are becoming closer and they want to be ready when Edge demand takes off.
The reason some of bigger partners and those who allow our product to be 'embedded' is because they understand the Edge is near.
100% I'd be happy with that result

Some interesting tidbits here...

Gerrit Ecke (Researcher for Future Automotive Software Development and for Neuromorphic Computing) @ Mercedes-Benz

Gerrit says the CLA Class "carries the genes of the EQXX" and goes on to talk about how important efficiency is, which makes me automatically think back to Marcus Shaefer's "In the Loop" blog (which Gerrit also "liked") in which he discusses energy efficiency relating to EQXX voice control (which we know was due to BrainChip's technology (see below).

The other thing I find very interesting is that Gerrit Ecke 'liked" Simon Thorpe's talk in March in which he discusses the JAST learning rule, which is now owned by Brainchip.
