I’ve always wondered who is hiding behind the various BNP Paribas Nominee accounts in the Top 20 shareholder list…
Presumably mainly European institutional investors, individual investors with large holdings, possibly companies such as Valeo, Capgemini…?
Does anyone happen to know whether we retail shareholders that have overseas (from an ASX perspective) security deposit accounts with banks that are part of the BNP Paribas group (eg Consorsbank in Germany) also get lumped together in a nominee account or are listed separately under our own names in the shareholder registry?
And could individual banks that are members of the BNP Paribas group or even government agencies be using those nominee accounts as well? The reason I am asking this is the following article. There is no indication in the text that we are involved, but banking and finance - which the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is well-known for - has always been named a sector that would benefit from utilising Akida…
And lo and behold, one of the research groups that is part of the SnT research institute (Interdisciplinary Centre for the Security, Reliability and Trust at the University of Luxembourg) named as the other collaborator in the article is that of doctoral researcher Swetha Varadarajulu (cf. my previous post), who appears to see a lot of potential in what Brainchip has to offer in her research field of satellite communications - see her reaction to the comment by
@chapman89 on her “Intel vs Brainchip: The Satellite Comms Neuromorphic Battle Begins

” post.
I trust there is some kind of cross-pollination taking place between those various SnT research groups focussing on four priority areas, namely Cybersecurity, Fintech, IoT & Autonomous Vehicles and Space Systems…
So possibly more than just a faint dot-join?!
