Hi jtardif,
As I said a couple of days ago:
It looks like there will be no Akida IP silicon in ADAS in the near future, and Akida simulation software appears to be impractical for EVs. As DB says, there's always hope it can make an appearance in infotainment.
Having been rummaging through my archives, I dug out this article (Google translated from German) which also puts the dampener on infotainment:

Mercedes-Benz wechselt von NVIDIA zu Qualcomm
Qualcomm zieht bei Mercedes-Benz ein - den Anfang macht die neue E-Klasse mit MBUX NTG 7 (MBUX 3). Das wurde auf der IAA 23 auch bestätigt.mbpassion.de
MERCEDES-BENZ MOVES FROM NVIDIA TO QUALCOMM
MARKUS JORDAN·TECHNOLOGY·SEPTEMBER 11, 2023
As Qualcomm officially confirmed at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Mercedes-Benz will in future use the hardware from Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis for the MBUX infotainment platform (3) as well as the telematics functions of the vehicles, including connection to the 5G wireless network. Qualcomm bundles the latter function in its own Snapdragon Automotive Connectivity platform. A first model for this is the new E-Class of the 214 model series, which will be launched on the market before the end of 2023.
In the current MBUX generation (NTG 7), Mercedes-Benz still uses processors from the manufacturer NVIDIA, the largest version of which is an 8-core processor with 24 GB of RAM. Neither Mercedes-Benz nor Qualcomm initially announced in detail which Qualcomm processors will provide replacements in the future. Mercedes-Benz is using the technology to implement the new MBUX (3) infotainment system including Superscreen in the new E-Class. The supplier here is Bosch, which buys directly from Qualcomm and delivers to Mercedes-Benz.
With the cooperation with Qualcomm, Mercedes-Benz will discontinue or at least limit the use of NVIDIA processors in the MBUX system in the future. However, since the Stuttgart-based company has agreed on "revenue sharing" with Nvidia, Nvidia has so far received a share of the revenue that Mercedes-Benz generates from the sale of driver assistance systems. The agreement previously amounted to a 50 percent share of the proceeds.
Thoughts on if BRN is working with Qualcomm
