Neuromorphic computing: Ushering in AI innovation in BFSI
Highlights
Link: https://www.tcs.com/what-we-do/industries/banking/white-paper/neuromorphic-computing-bfsi-industry
- Firms in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) industry have embraced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
- These technologies use deep learning (DL) models that require massive sets of training data, consume enormous amounts of power, and fall short in adapting to the changing business environment.
- Neuromorphic computing (NC) can help firms leverage the latest innovations in AI to address some of the existing challenges while paving the way for next-generation use cases.
Thanks Champee from the other place.
The article had a link called:
Advancing edge computing capabilities with neuromorphic platforms
Sadly they mention Intel prominently and Akida as a sidenote.

No date on the 2 white papers so not sure how old they are.
Speaking of TATA, I had high hopes here but haven't heard anything from them in a long time.
They partnered with BRN summer 2023.
Quote from their CEO: “The combination of our user-centric design expertise with leading-edge technologies is key to helping enterprises reimagine their products and services to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and deliver new services to their customers,” said Manoj Raghavan, CEO and MD at Tata Elxsi. “This cannot be possible without our global ecosystem of partners. By partnering with BrainChip and implementing Akida technology into medical and industrial solutions, we are able to deliver innovative solutions at a faster time to market than otherwise possible.”
Tata Elxsi is a part of the very large Tata group with over 1.1 million people employed.

Hi Guzzi,
If I'm not mistaken both of these TCS papers are old.
The first one "Neuromorphic computing: Ushering in AI innovation in BFSI" was posted here in June 2023 by @Tothemoon24 which you can see here on this link #58,668.

Neuromorphic Computing in BFSI: The tech of the future
Spiking neural networks, when run on NC hardware, can help overcome issues in the existing AI and ML deployments and conceptualize new products and services.
The second one was first posted here by @equanimous on 22 August 2022 which you can see on this link #2. You can see it's the same article (even though the pdf no longer links to anything) because of the following post from uix , which you can see on this link #3 shows the same information in the section detailing Figure 4.
I remember we all discusssed it at the time becasue they spelled AKIDA wrong.
It looks like they may have just updated this paper and in doing so corrected the spelling of AKIDA.
