It depends how the KPI is structured.

It could be binary, basically 0% or 100%. If the hurdle wasn’t fully met, it records as 0% even if meaningful bookings were achieved.

For example, if the target was $9M and $8M was delivered, that could still show as 0% under an all-or-nothing structure. So 0% doesn’t necessarily mean zero bookings.
If they had $8 mill in sales they would be shouting it from the rooftops.

Its a big fat zero and more disappointment for shareholders. This is being reflected in today's share price. 😔

Asking AI who is working with brainchip on ear buds.

Key Earbud and Audio Partners

BrainChip works with a variety of integration, technology, and System-on-Chip (SoC) partners to bring its Akida technology to the consumer market. These partnerships range from direct earbud manufacturers to the semiconductor companies that provide the "brains" for these devices.

Mimi Hearing Technologies: A prominent partner in the "hearing intelligence" space, Mimi integrates its Sound Personalization technology with BrainChip’s Akida platform.[4] This collaboration aims to provide personalized audio experiences and real-time speech enhancement in consumer earbuds and hearing aids.[5]

Naqi Logix: While Naqi Logix is known for its "Neural Earbuds" that use non-invasive sensors to control devices via muscle and brain signals, they utilize BrainChip’s Akida technology to process these complex biosignals at the edge with ultra-low power.[6] [7]

BREGGZ: This company has developed the world’s first fully wireless, custom-made "hearable" (in-ear computer). BREGGZ utilizes Mimi Sound Personalization, which is part of the broader BrainChip ecosystem for intelligent audio processing.[4] [8]

Beisheng Semi (Bestechnic): As a major SoC vendor for smart audio and wearables, Bestechnic is a technology partner that enables the integration of BrainChip’s AI acceleration into the chipsets used by numerous earbud brands.[4]

Airoha Technology: A subsidiary of MediaTek, Airoha specializes in wireless communication SoCs for earbuds. They are listed as a partner compatible with the intelligent audio solutions powered by BrainChip’s ecosystem

The Annual report only confirms what I raised last month re our impending removal from the AsX 300. Hopefully those large institutional holders that need to rebalance their accounts have already started swapping stocks, however I still think we have a period of instability before we get to the AGM where hopefully we have some better news and hopefully some “bookings” in the lead up to that.

Still haven’t sold a share but now looking at averaging down a bit.

As our number one fan boy PR poster boy IBM Kevin has shown there is lots and lots of opportunities which we just need to have the market identify and then implement.
Did you also read that Betashares are changing the make-up of their RBTZ ETF. It will include pre-revenue companies that are linked to robotics and AI. At the end of the day I couldn't care less about ASX 300, 200 or whatever. I care that the company is getting orders in and fulfilling those orders, concluding deals for IP etc. What I would like to know is WHY we didn't get the $9m order bookings that were excitedly talked about at the last AGM. I hope to get an answer to that either at the AGM or prior. However, I don't have the ego of the Pope, to expect a board member to reach out to an anonymous keyboard warrior on a stock forum, which given the letter to shareholders, I would say it is less than a zero % chance. As it should be!

I wonder where we would be today if we never employed a trainee CEO 😁
FF wanted someone BIG to replace LDN, but alas Peter decided to get one from Temu.

Agree, it would be good to know what went wrong. Antonio was confident last year at the AGM, when he was asked by a shareholder, how did you come up with $9M as the bookings target?

Antonio’s reply: Well, we're looking at the pipeline. We're seeing what we believe we can achieve, tack on a little bit more to that and we created a minimum number that his minimum number is actually almost 2X greater than any annual booking number the companies ever had. That's how we came up with it. Does that answer your question.

I'm sure it will come up at the AGM (if they actually hold it in person in Australia!)

Perhaps the booking will be achieved sometimes between now and the AGM… there’s still 2.5 months till AGM!

LongTermInvestor, I hope they do too, but the $9M target was for 2025.

Maybe we will find out what the 2026 bookings target is at the next AGM!

To be honest, I would expect a target many multiples greater than $9M as the progress in tech/products

Seems like someone's decided to take us for a little canter at the end of the day/week/month. 🤣
Volume on the buy side built dramatically over the last hour or so.

To be honest, if we can secure a 9M target before the AGM, I would be very happy.

Then, in the second half of 2026, another 9M.

The first contracts are often the hardest to win. After that, the rest should come more easily.

Go Hard Brainchip!!!

WTF was that. A good start to the weekend but I suspect a drunk person placed their order at 15.5 instead of 13.5
