Long term holder. Like this stock because:
- applied new tech in massive growth space
- international focus
- vertically integrated and possibly geographically connected.

Seems that NEW York busses might be first big announcement of contracts.

Also, note that HC also pinned Australian article to top of feed....a lot in common with BRN....similar coordinated attack on reputation/price. If not criminal, should be.

Move on, nothing to see.
I found this video, titled Magnis’ partner C4V discusses their EV battery technology. to be quite illuminating.

The C4V technology is Nickel and Cobalt free, and when combined in the LiSER technology has huge efficiencies in both the battery management and terminal management systems. It has an in-situ active thermal management system - i.e. better inherent handling of heat.

A big advantage this battery technology has is SAFETY. Both material level safety and cell-level safety. Now having Li batteries that are less prone to exploding is something I want to see. Especially if I am literally sitting on top of the battery pack in a vehicle.

This all adds up to higher charge density (up to 5x), faster charging, and less heating- both when charging and discharging. Not only that, but heat is uniformly distributed throughout the battery pack, leading to less degradation over time. The technology also has advantages of strong construction that is inherently safer.

Wining in so many crucial areas, not to mention being removed from the current Nickel price circus.

Their presence in NewYork, with that state’s mandate of 70% electrification of all transport by 2030, simply MUST play into the hands of Magnis so well. Hence the importance of their NewYork city bus trial.

I just briefly bring you this article:

"Magnis seeks court order to reveal hotcrapper users’ identities

Tom Richardson
Tom Richardson Markets reporter and commentator
Jul 27, 2022 – 3.53pm

ASX-listed battery manufacturing group Magnis Energy Technologies has lodged a federal court application demanding penny stock message board hotcrapper disclose the identity of 15 anonymous posters it believes disparaged the company.
The July 22 application against hotcrapper operator Report Card Pty Ltd seeks an order to force hotcrapper to disclose the full name and address of each poster in addition to email addresses, any internet protocol (IP) address, the internet service provider, and any social media accounts linked to the hotcrapper accounts.

Magnis refused to comment on the court application, although it’s believed the company is furious over what it sees as a series of malicious and false statements anonymously posted to hotcrapper message boards about Magnis’ management and operating performance.
Some posters named in the court application use anonymous hotcrapper accounts, including Mondrian, Fritzl, Clare69, Rat1973, Sunrock, and Johnyb26. *****************, parent company of hotcrapper, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to court documents, the lawyer for hotcrapper operator Report Card agreed to provide the identification details of the posters in compliance with any court order. However, by July 22, K&L Gates, the lawyers for Magnis, sent further correspondence reiterating the identification request and putting Report Card on notice.

Magnis’ chairman Frank Poullas is named as an applicant in the court request as seeking to pursue a defamation claim.
Australian Securities and Investments Commission has previously made inquiries with Magnis over the trading of its shares. In November 2021, the company issued an ASX statement in response to media coverage denying it was being investigated by ASIC, but conceded inquiries had been made.
The battery tech play reached a share price high of 73¢ on a market value of around $714 million on December 11 as retail investor enthusiasm for anything associated with lithium or electric vehicles peaked, but the stock had crashed back to 31¢ on Wednesday.
Magnis owns New York-based company Imperium3, which it says operates a lithium-ion battery manufacturing project. For the nine months to March 31, it reported zero revenue and an operating cash loss of $17.9 million. Investing cash outflows totalled $23.6 million, with the company reporting cash on hand of $81.8 million as at March 31.

Nowhere to hide

In June 2019 penny stock mining company Flinders Mines successfully obtained an order from the Supreme Court of Western Australia to force hotcrapper to disclose the identity of individual posters on the basis the posters had made allegedly defamatory comments against Flinders Mines stakeholders.

The case highlighted that hotcrapper’s terms and conditions contained provisions that stated it would maintain information about each user’s real identity.

On June 7 ASIC announced Gabriel Govinda, a hotcrapper poster using anonymous online identity Fibonarchery, had pleaded guilty to 23 charges of unrelated stock manipulation and 19 charges of illegal dissemination of information relating to manipulation.

ASIC said the charges were in relation to hotcrapper posts and Mr Govinda now faces a maximum penalty of 10 years’ jail, alongside a fine up to $765,000.

On June 5, the Federal Court of Australia ordered Twitter to disclose the identity of anonymous account @PRGuy17 so Melbourne-based social commentator Avi Yemini could pursue a defamation action against him.

While former NSW deputy premier John Barilaro was awarded $715,000 on June 6 in defamation damages from YouTube-owner Google, after a user named Jordan Shanks posted multiple videos defaming Mr Barilaro.

The case saw Justice Steven Rares reject Google’s arguments that it should not be liable as a publisher because it did not create the content. Legal commentators have suggested both Google and Twitter will now move faster to censor user content in Australia.

First production from iM3NY plant. Yay team!

As these cells contain no Nickel or Cobalt, I wonder which battery users will sit up and take notice. This certainly solves the lack of Nickel dilemma and takes a bit of the edge off reliance on as much rare earths. And it’s a shit load greener. Magnis should need to swat away suitors.

Well I've been waiting for today so well done team. I love the green bent of this technology with hydro used in manufacture so ticks all the boxes for me. Great day for a great announcement.

The Electric Viking has produced an informative YouTube video discussing the LiSER battery. He calls it a game changer and the best commercial battery he has ever seen.

This incredible battery tech will END America’s dependence on China

He goes into decent details about what sets this battery apart from others.

Cheaper, Charge Faster, and last longer. What else do you need?

The 3% battery degredation over 2600 fast-charge cycles (2000km for an EV) is a game changer.

The iM3NY gigafactory is the first on MANY in the US alone.

Magnis Energy is doing 10 minute presentation at this week’s share cafe Hidden Gems webinar.

Like they say - any publicity is good publicity.

These talks are normally available on YouTube a few days after the webinar. Look at the ShareCafe channel

It was positive, reinforcing feedback to see the Magnis jointly owned iM3NY battery plant incorporated into a slide in the annual presentation for Monger Gold (transitioning into Lithium). The slide was presenting Margot potential US customers fro US mined Lithium and proves the iM3NY plant does have a real presence and people are starting to take notice of it and holding it in quite esteemed company - Tesla, GM, Bosch, BASF, LG Chem, Honda, Ford etc.

Here's my minutes of the Q&A from webinar (italicized and purple is my additions)

How is testing going?
Testing going ahead nicely.
He did state some specifics, but I wasn't ready to type when he said it.

When is revenue expected from the iM3NY plant?
Revenue expected last quarter of this calendar year.
The question did specifically ask about Sept (as previously promised) but I suppose that will get accounted for in that quarter. A little disappointing as you would hope they'd have a much former answer now—it being September and all.

How is early production processing?
Progressing through tweaks, as with any complex production process, and working on quality.
I would have liked a more specific answer for this one considering they are so close to going fully automated live production.

Any grants filed for?
Yes. Ongoing and long process with the department of energy.
Confident to secure some funding.
Should hear in the next few months.

Any interest for off-take agreement?
Yes, but can't name names.
Have received a number of inbound enquiries regarding technology and factory capacity.
That sounds positive.

Natu - where are we at with this?
Subject to supply constraints from engineering perspective. Slowed them down slightly.
In the midst of finalizing all aspects of the feasibility study.
Should be released soon.

WRT graphite - need to get financing in place first, then 2 year development program to get mine running.

I asked a specific question regarding if any car manufacturers are signed up, but the question didn't get asked. It was probably included in the "off-take" related question.
