WTF - Cominiere still posting on Twitter. Are they just bat shit crazy or do the believe some sort of deal has been done giving them immunity(Zijin will pay). Also does the fact that Zijin are still working on the power station in complete contradiction to the ICC rulings indicate they know an agreement is happening? Surely they aren't completely stupid!!

Zijin would be 100% pushing to keep the North for any kind of deal.

Completely unacceptable, they can have it if they buy it with our permission. The courts will reflect this and the bill will keep ramping up.

On Cominerie's part, yes - they are just that dumb and arrogant.

I imagine Zijin has given them some kind of reassurance. With their lawyers probably saying don't worry, this is all unenforceable, and if anything happens financially we'll sort you out. I cant see how they could be so blase otherwise

Part of it would be optics, not everybody especially in the Congo is going to be reading ICSID transcripts.

If they comply in anyway they are admitting a) that they have have given up the operation and b) they respect and will follow ICSID rulings.

Well Comminiere sure as shit dont have any cash but legally they have still got a 15% share of Dathcom. Through whatever shitfuckery and black magic they created the JV with Shitzin for the North with realigned boundaries and stole our water and camp...including all our cores as well as grabbing the hydro and then issuing themselves a mining licence using the same shitfuckery black magic
I reckon 39 million Euro plus the balance of penalties owed plus reinstating the original boundary and returning the hydro is a fair swap for the 15 % they own. Shitzin can go for their lives in Micaville and we will happily sell to the highest bidder. Celestine can fo f...k himself.

Agree . Cominere is a bit player taking instructions from Zijin and is completely immune .The ICC is a toothless tiger . China will pay no attention to it's findings and carry on business as usual . Fines and penalties are just numbers that will never see the light of day . AVZ last and only chance rests with the United States for the southern region . It's 50/50 at best and that's being generous . The current hype in the media could be seen as misleading .

Don't forget about how the media is manipulated from all angles:-

Not complaining, just reality.
TC.

Hahah "this is extremely to our democracy"

We have been fucked all sides from last Tuesday over the last few years. The ultimate gas lighting.
Its gonna be hard if we have to get back into bed with actors who have totally and blatently fucked us.

Ill be interested to see how this ends up and who will be painted as the heroes and who will make a deal.

Including the ones here on Oz soil.

Oh and Tommy you tit, im looking forward to what you will have to say once we come out of this.

I would love to know The Australian’s source for their story. Is there any obligation for them to disclose if asked?

Speaking of information, I’d like to reach out to Amovotio directly but Hotcrapper doesn’t support this. I’m interested in knowing his or her updated view given AVZ‘s last statement that no written deal had been received came after their ‘deal is done’ post.

Devils advocate but they were pretty specific in saying no WRITTEN offer has been received - but amovotio could still be correct in a handshake or verbal negotiation could be underway/done.

Of course I wouldn’t just take a post on a forum as fact until AVZ comes out with a proper announcement

Say that when USA gains control of the critical minerals and transport.
DRC on its knees and needs USA intervention .

Meeting on the 18th March.
With USA aligned to provide security to DRC .
the meeting will take on a different perspective by Rwanda and M23.?

Embattled Congo president considers sitting down with M23 rebels

By Ange Adihe Kasongo and Sonia Rolley
March 15, 202512:42 AM GMT+11Updated a day

KINSHASA, March 14 (Reuters) - Democratic Republic of Congo President Felix Tshisekedi has long ruled out dialogue with the Rwanda-backed M23 rebels rampaging through eastern parts of his country, but a string of defeats and waning regional support have forced him think again.
Neighbouring Angola caught many by surprise this week by saying Congo and M23 would sit down for direct talks in its capital on March 18, at a time when the rebels are still seizing territory rich with coltan, tantalum and other minerals.

Tshisekedi's government has so far not committed publicly, but three government sources told Reuters this week he was seriously considering sending a delegation.
With Congo's army and allied forces putting up weak resistance to the rebel advance, regional powers appear in agreement that dialogue is the only way forward, diplomats and analysts said.
"I haven't talked to a single African country that says Kinshasa shouldn't talk to M23," one senior diplomat said.
"The line of everyone is, 'How do you stop the fighting if you don't engage with them?'"

One source said on Friday that government participation was a sure thing but that it was still too early to say who would represent Kinshasa in Luanda.
Other sources said the debate was still ongoing and that a final decision was not likely to be made until next week.
M23, for its part, said on Thursday it was demanding an unequivocal commitment from Tshisekedi to engage in talks.
Both sides said they had questions about the framework and how the Angola-hosted talks would comply with decisions from regional bodies attempting to resolve the conflict.
Southern and East African foreign and defence ministers are due to meet in Harare on Monday to discuss the push for a cessation of hostilities and political dialogue.

'FAILED' MILITARY APPROACH

M23 is backed by thousands of Rwandan troops, according to U.N. experts, and their superior weaponry and equipment has allowed them to seize east Congo's two biggest cities since late January along with a host of smaller localities.
Rwanda denies providing arms and troops to M23, and says its forces are acting in self defence against the Congolese army and militias hostile to Kigali.
Sitting down with M23 would likely be deeply unpopular in Kinshasa, especially after Tshisekedi's repeated vows never to do so.
But it would amount to an acknowledgment that Tshisekedi's pursuit of a military solution has "failed", said Congolese analyst Bob Kabamba of the University of Liege in Belgium.
"Kinshasa's position of dialogue is understandable because it finds itself stuck, thinking that the (rebel alliance) must not reach a critical threshold," he said.

This Article below highlights the level of corruption in the defence force
Generals loot the money while soldiers risking their lives barely get $50 per month .
Sounds familiar with the governing ministers while the vast majority of the population live in poverty,
DRC need USA intervention and IMO will give Trump what he wants.

Nigel and Team amazing efforts thank you

Couple of matters:

If anyone has a copy of the Dathomir rejoinder Partial Award, could they either post it publicly, or DM me a copy please. I don't know why Management haven't posted it on the website (I know they lost their challenge but......we aren't afraid to be told about minor negative outcomes, in the interests of full disclosure)

Interesting wording used regarding their USA visit "a view to raising funds to support its endeavours to secure and develop the Manono Lithium Project including via a long term commitment in respect to its share of the mineral off take", followed by the wider statement regarding various parties expressing interest in the Project

So, was the first objective to find a CATH replacement?
